Without being used, it exists in the nature of the present. That time itself can be spoken of in that way. If it is established in that way, then the past and the future can also be established. If someone asks, if the past is established in reliance on the present, then can the present also rely on the past? For example, existence and non-existence are also established in reliance on existence first. Just as non-existence relies on the basis of existence, non-existence is not like that. For example, existence that has become manifest is inferred after it has been manifested, and non-existence is established. That non-existence is also established by saying, "That existing thing does not exist." Non-existence is not manifested from those scriptures by any consciousness that can speak. If even non-existence itself is not understood, then how can it establish existence in return? Therefore, saying that existence and non-existence are mutually dependent is established by existence. Things that arise from what did not arise before are also first established as "that which did not arise before" when the thing that arose is manifested. Similarly, time and the past and future are merely imputed; they are non-existent in themselves, and cannot be established by non-existence. The present thing is existent and has also been manifested. If it is established by that, then the past and the future can be established. Therefore, it should be known that the three times are established by the power of the present. Circumstance is also a meaning to be understood. The power of need itself is called circumstance here. In general, time itself is circumstance. However, here time is the time of things, and circumstance is the circumstance of the meaning of the speaker's intention. Now, in order to show that the object of the sound and consciousness that makes one understand negation is the four non-existences, it is said: That which makes one understand negation, The object is the four non-existences: Non-existence before, and non-existence after destruction, Mutual non-existence and utter non-existence. It is said that all negations establish non-existence, and all non-existences of different things are also included in those four. Therefore, if the object to be actually established by all sounds and consciousnesses that establish negation is non-existence, then the four non-existences are the objects that make one understand negation. Having stated the object that makes one understand in that way, in order to show the circumstance that makes one understand,

Thus it is said, "In brief and in detail." Wherein, 'in brief' refers to distinctions not elaborated, meaning seeing only a part. 'In detail' means being able to see everything. In order to explain these, based on the level of summarization, non-existence is divided into four types: destruction non-existence and utter non-existence, which are called "negation of non-existence." The remaining non-affirming negation, is considered according to the level of summarization, as the mere clinging to things that are non-existent and existent in the object. This is because, for example, the non-existence after a vase is broken, there is no essence of the vase anywhere, this is non-existence. Also, like rabbit horns, they do not exist anywhere. Therefore, these two are grouped into the negation of non-existence. The remaining are prior non-existence and one not being the other. Prior non-existence exists now in its essence, like a vase that did not exist before. One not being the other, for example, a horse exists in its own nature as a horse, and a cow exists in its own nature as a cow. Both of these exist in the object now, so they are called "non-affirming." However, this is only one aspect of them, not complete non-existence. The first two are complete non-existence. If it is complete non-existence, why say seeing only a part? This is because, although non-existence is the same on the level of having no basis, when stating the support, everything is like that. But when speaking of sound, the first two are stated at the time of non-appearance, while the latter is stated at the time of appearance. At that time, only one aspect of appearance and non-appearance in the object can be seen, this is a part. In detail, all four are non-existent, therefore it is a classification of the negation of non-existence. Through it, others are shown, and it is also a non-affirming negation. They exist in the object, and their own essence is proven there. Wanting to explain the meaning of detail, it is said: If one does not know the four non-existences, or if one desires existence, etc., merely proving non-existence is considered the negation of the four non-existences. And so on, it is explained. Here is a differential classification of the negation of non-existence, that is, the nature of the four non-existences as mentioned before, either not understanding, or hesitating about existence or non-existence, or thinking like this that it exists.
