The reason for saying "in order to approximately indicate the absence of itself" is this. In that case, if one states that there is no reason for something that does not need to be proven, then it becomes stating the reason itself, otherwise it is not so. Just as this is so, it will be proven later. Now, here it is not heard that all reasons are non-existent, so how can one understand the word "all" being applied to something that is non-existent? It is said, "The sign is here through proximity," meaning that by approximating the dissimilar dharma, the reason for all non-existence is clarified here. For example, impermanent things like pots are all, but sound is not all like that, but it is "all non." Therefore, it is said, "because of all non-itself." For "that is also unestablished," it is argued with "sound is" and so on. The word "all" has two meanings: worldly common and fully explained. Among them, the first is used to mean "without remainder," and the second is used to mean "a little." Here, temporarily according to the worldly common saying, it is said "if also" and so on. With the phrase "how is it not?" it is said that sound has the dharma of "all non-itself" which contradicts "all itself," therefore saying that sound is different from all is to completely avoid the unestablished itself. If that is the case, then it is excluded with "then" and so on. This means that the general characteristic does not abandon the particular characteristic, the word of the general characteristic does not abandon its own particular characteristic, but it is only used through projection. For example, the word "tree" can represent the various particular characteristics of the tree, such as the sala tree and so on. Therefore, the word "all" can also project sound, so sound is all. Wherever, is the sala tree itself a tree? Or is it not? To this question, the answer is that the sala tree is not a tree, even so, denying the tree itself on the sala tree will not lead to the general characteristic abandoning the particular characteristic sala tree, because the totality of the tree itself will separately negate a certain manifestation of the sala tree in this way. In any case, just as in some cases, saying that the sala tree is not a tree is to deny the application of the general characteristic to a certain manifestation, so is sound.

The phrase "it does not transform into everything" means that this is to prevent the certainty that it only applies to one such situation, not to prevent everything from applying to sound. Just preventing the certainty that everything only applies to sound does not mean that sound will not transform into everything. If it becomes that everything is not, then all the characteristics that are not the essence of sound are also not everything separately, then there will be nothing that is everything, and this is also what is desired. Therefore, the statement "sound is included in everything" does not prove that it is not everything. Then, etc., by saying that all things are impermanent, in order to eliminate the promised permanence, either contradictory words are spoken, or a contradiction is promised, because by promising that all things are impermanent, the permanence of sound is eliminated. The abode of sound, etc., if contradictory attributes are included in one thing, it will become a contradiction. Here, through the reasoning of Darba and the son of Kundina, impermanence is spoken of things other than sound. When it is said to exist in everything that is said, it means that it should be said to exist in everything other than sound. Even so, if everything that is said in the world is explicitly expressed, then it will not be possible to establish that it is not everything, because it is included in everything. When it is fully explained, how can it not be established? Considering this, by attributing everything that is fully explained to sound, it is said "if" etc. If everything other than sound is the object of expression of sound, and only sound is not everything, then these, sound and not everything, are synonyms, and it also points out the fault of the synonym itself. That is, etc. There, the example of Rana etc. clearly illustrates this. Then, is sound not composed only of manifestation? Therefore, why say that it is also not established? It should be said that it is not established only because of its own essence.
