It is not reasonable to do so. If something that is inseparable from its own nature is transformed into different and dissimilar dharmas, then how can the term "having the obstruction of form" be a dissimilar expression? Understand it by the sound of "that of form," etc. "That" refers to the very thing that has obstruction. "Sound" refers to this expression, "having the obstruction of form." By not applying other distinctions, it means abandoning other distinctions. To say it that way is like saying it is inseparable. An example is given for this: The habit of mind is also like that. The word "also," when two particles are combined, should be understood as having a similar meaning. Again, he himself said: Action is not different from dharma, because a different self-nature can be distinguished from it. It is not merely dharma, because even if there is self-nature, sometimes it is not there. It is also not non-existent, because there is no distinction, and action is also previously non-existent, so it is like continuity. For example, what appears without being in dharma is called continuity. This is also not different from dharma, because it should be understood as inseparable from it. It is also not merely dharma, because even a single moment would become continuity. It is also not non-existent, because there is a result, like that. Again it is said: The result also desires continuity, and that continuity does not exist at all. Time is established through the door of action. Understand it in that way with reason. Here it is said: If it is like continuity, etc., the word "etc." in "like continuity, etc." includes collections, etc. Because from the continuous one, it is impossible to say it is the same or different. Just as a person and continuity have no self-nature, similarly, action will also become without self-nature. If there is a self-nature, then it will definitely become the same or different. If that is the case, then action is being examined, therefore, like continuity, it will not be close to any result. The reason for the examination is that it is not close to any result, because it is without self-nature, and the arising of the result is related to self-nature. Then

Therefore, with the inherent nature of permanence, the self-nature of things is able to function, but the examination of permanence is not. If this is so, because action can be cognized, so like before, it is not truly existent afterwards, therefore, even if the three times are established by it, it is only an examination, not real. Furthermore, if action can be taken as evidence, and the establishment of time made by it is also examinable, although it depends on this, what fault will arise from it? Answer: It is said that something called "action" is mentioned, and you say that the ability to produce fruit is the action of all things. Then, what is the ability to produce fruit? It is not something other than the self-nature of things. Then what is it? It is itself. Because it itself is not the object of speech, because it is uncommon, and sound does not apply to self-nature. If this is so, the ability itself is the thing, not something else, then how can the ability exist in name? It is only immutable, this is just a conclusion. Therefore, I think it is necessary to admit that establishing time by it is truly existent. In addition, for the essence of things like fire, focusing on the function of burning and cooking, is this itself the state of the past and the future? Or is it something else? If it is itself, then for one thing without difference, by what can the future, past, and present be established in order? How can it not have mutually contradictory dharmas such as inaction? If having contradictory dharmas is also one, then it will not be established as different. If this is so, all beings will become one, and if it is one, then it will also lead to faults such as simultaneous arising. Also, if it is thought that things are not different in time because of the difference between abandoning and completely grasping states, then even so, it must be said whether those states are different from things or not different. The other party said no, it is different from things.
