, that is called negation. Furthermore, the so-called "infallible valid cognition" refers to the characteristic of the knowledge that is the cause of the result, by experiencing the function of things. If that is the case, since the characteristic of the resultant knowledge does not apply, then how can it be determined to be valid cognition? How can this argument have any opportunity? For example, if saying "the cause of the sprout is the seed" is its characteristic, then how can "how the sprout is the seed itself" be acceptable to the wise? Just as when the seed exists, it is understood because the sprout is seen, so too is valid cognition, because when it exists, it is seen through the characteristic of the function of things. Since the fruit of the nature of knowledge is produced from itself through wisdom, it is absurd to become meaningless, because the fruit is not understood by other valid cognitions. And, it is also impossible for error to arise from the self-nature of knowledge, and if this is not certain, then it would lead to the non-existence of self-awareness itself, therefore this is not the case. Now, through the way of completely purifying the cause, it becomes valid cognition, therefore there is no fault of meaninglessness. "When various consciousnesses arise," etc., briefly states the previous view with one verse. Here, the one called Wisdom Excellent will answer. Knowledge is of two kinds: proximate object and distant object. Among them, for the time being, what is the proximate object? That is because it is not valid cognition from definitely holding the object of the cause. Then what is it? It is from the knowledge that does not deceive the function of things. For example, as long as the action of not deceiving the function of things has not been confirmed as true, then it is impossible to definitely hold the qualities of the cause. If that is the case, then being confirmed as true, it will not hold at all the qualities of the cause that arise later. Any knowledge of a distant object is because it has determined the qualities of its cause, so it is to show that it is the merit of being determined as valid cognition, therefore it said "distant," etc. Distant object, the knowledge that holds a golden conch, whatever is produced by a completely pure cause, that is because it is produced by it, because it is produced by a completely pure cause, therefore it is a proximate object.

It is certain that like the knowledge that holds the white conch shell to be valid. The formulation is that whatever is produced by a pure cause is valid, for example, the knowledge that holds the white conch shell that has the object of a nearby thing. This knowledge of the yellow aspect of the conch shell, etc., which has the object of a hidden thing, is also produced by a pure cause, which is the reason of nature. However, is this reason not established? Because it is not possible to determine the pure cause without deceiving the thing, because the senses are beyond the senses. Even if one relies on not deceiving the thing, it is certain that it is valid from that alone, so it is completely meaningless to determine the qualities of the cause, because it is certain to arise later in the determination of validity. If one thinks that in one case, the consciousness of the nearby object is determined to have qualities by not deceiving the thing, and in another case, for the consciousness of the object with kalpa, it is also determined to have qualities at other times because there is no deception. That is not correct, because things that perish in an instant cannot exist with the same essence, because the combination of other different conditions, the ability of each instant is different. After all these doubts have arisen, it is said, "How in front." This shows that because the combination of other different conditions in each instant may have different abilities, we cannot determine that the cause of the consciousness of the object of kalpa that arises at other times is completely pure and becomes valid. So what is it? Only at the moment when the consciousness of the nearby object holds the white conch shell, and the cause is determined to be pure by obtaining the meaning to be proved by white, the wisdom with the yellow aspect arises on the conch shell with the golden nature that exists in the object of kalpa, which is determined to be valid from the completely pure cause. If one wants to deceive the consciousness of the nearby object in its function, then at that very moment
