If it is thought to be established by this, then, if one acknowledges such power of habit, why not acknowledge that the certainty of this power also arises solely from habit? Furthermore, if the fruit of that knowledge is already established, then at that time, universal concomitance is meaningless. Because, just as with inferential knowledge, by the very certainty of being that fruit itself, the ability to obtain that thing is established. If inferential knowledge arises from a sign related to the object, because it is determined from the lineage to be the very fruit of the object, it is valid from itself, not by the power of similarity. If it were not so, it would become endless. Similarly, here too, it becomes valid only from itself. Like this, from wherever a direction is determined, there, if the realization of the object to be proven does not arise, then it follows the subject of the example that is pervasive to the knower, just like being produced and impermanence. Here, by the certainty of the fruit of having knowledge, the ability to obtain that is established by not being mistaken about that thing itself, not by a sign similar to it. If that is the case, the teacher, taking worldly convention as a premise, focusing on deceivers and non-deceivers in the application of some clarity of knowledge, how does he closely indicate that, in order not to deceive the application, only direct perception is valid, and inference is not valid, if someone speaks pervasively of that characteristic? Then, how does he say that how to thoroughly prove from seeing concordant phenomena does not go beyond inference? This fault is not present, because this is said from the perspective of the mind that enters one's own and others' continuums and has an object of experience. Because it is said, "apart from experiencing the object." Otherwise, if it is acknowledged that validity is always from similarity, then at that time, the negation of "apart from experiencing the object" would become meaningless. Therefore, from the power of habit, whatever arises having abandoned the nature of the cause of confusion, there, it abides in being valid from itself. How is the knowledge of things?

Regarding what was said, such as "depending on non-deception," things like "different kinds" were mentioned. For those who experience it as a valid means of cognition, but there is also the cause of delusion, so it cannot be determined, it is determined by another cognition that appears to accomplish a purpose. Just that alone accomplishes the purpose desired by the practitioner, because hope is cut off, so non-deception is just like other non-deceptions, that is, like the initial cognition, it is not what is relied upon. If someone says, "From itself," etc., it is mentioned, "Because there is no cause of delusion," etc. However, if it is not certain that something without doubt will not arise, then the cognition with the power of a valid means of cognition does not become a valid means of cognition, like inference. If, like inference, one doubts that it will not arise without meaning, then it is not considered a valid means of cognition, will the same not be true for direct perception? This fault does not exist. Because, like inference, when showing that direct perception will not arise without meaning, it is not considered a valid means of cognition. So what is it? When determining the appearing thing. Thus, accomplishing a purpose is for pursuing a goal, for obtaining the desired purpose, so it is said to be a valid means of cognition, not sending a person to the realm of things, or attracting things to the realm of people, because that is not obtaining it, but rather causing a person to enter. That person also does not enter from grabbing their hand. So what is it? It comes from showing the proximity of the place of entry, and showing proximity also comes from determining the appearing thing, not from anything else. Wherever there is doubt, there must be certainty of the appearing aspect, if that is not certain, it cannot be distinguished. If that is the case, just that alone completes the function of direct perception, for things that arise later, if there is no meaning, they will not arise, and doubt does not harm the function of direct perception, so even if there is doubt, direct perception is still a valid means of cognition. Whatever arises with the certainty of an aspect that contradicts the appearing object, that is not a valid means of cognition, because that is
