Furthermore, this is because the opponent does not wish to establish momentariness. Now, to show that the ability to benefit others is also not a characteristic of things, because it is too broad, such as sky lotuses, etc. For example, from sky lotuses, etc., the characteristic of generating thoughts such as "sky lotus, sky lotus" etc., has the ability to benefit others. But these do not exist in the ultimate sense. Therefore, the characteristic of things is ability, this statement is too broad. The answer to this is, "sky lotuses, etc." The reason for saying this is that sky lotuses, etc., do not have the ability to benefit others. Because their discriminations arise only from the complete ripening of the habits of their own discriminations, so there is no object. If you ask, what valid cognition obstructs arising from sky lotuses, etc.? "Non-existence is the cause." The reason for saying this is that sky lotuses, etc., do not exist, and in what cause they exist, it is called that. Its thing is that itself. If it exists, then the thought of sky lotuses, etc., will arise at all times and places, because it is impossible for the cause to be incomplete, it is constant. If sometimes it does not arise because the cause is incomplete, then it cannot be said to benefit others, and it should not be relied upon. "Momentary things." With these words, the view of the monastic assembly is to be doubted. He said that even if things are momentary, benefiting others sequentially and simultaneously is contradictory. For example, can they do it themselves or can't they? If they can, then there is no need to rely on a common cause, because ability should not rely on anything. If they cannot, then their reliance on it is also extremely unreasonable. For example, the bodies included in the first collection do not produce differences between each other. Because in the state of being produced and not produced, through existence and non-existence, there is no benefit and no application of benefit.
