There is clinging to self-nature, but this is not the case, therefore, since there is no self-nature of external objects, it is not a real thing. And why is it not without a real thing? "If it is considered a real thing, then it is not without," it is said. Since it is determined to be a real thing of the external world, it cannot be said that there is absolutely no real thing. And why is it not a characteristic of difference, etc.? "Difference and non-difference," etc., are mentioned, difference and non-difference, etc., are difference, etc. The word "etc." includes the basis, etc. If these are the dharmas that are understood as real things, then how can the elimination of the embodied, made by the craftsmanship of understanding, be found to exist? Any elimination is the self-nature of action, so there is suspicion of becoming the object to be spoken of, which is not established. Because the elimination spoken of by language is the self-nature of the image, and the image also clings to the self-nature of the external object, so it is not merely a negation. Therefore, these two kinds of conceptualization, 'Is it an object of a cow, or an object of a non-cow?' are not reasonable, because it clings to the self-nature established by the object of the cow itself. 'Who can eliminate this? Who can distinguish between cow and non-cow?' As it is said. "Language truly expresses other meanings," and so on. If the main thing is that language shows the difference from others, then when will it become like this? As long as it is the self-nature of the image of meaning, whatever is slightly expressed, as it is said: 'Initially, only language produces the image of meaning, if this can be understood, then indirectly the difference from others is understood.' As it is said, because the established tenet is not clearly known, this is the summarized meaning. The rest is just understanding the meaning. The conceptualizations of difference, etc., have already been refuted as real things. For what is said, 'Is this what is said about other exclusions?' etc., 'What is said about other exclusions,' and so on. To this, the conceptualization of what is said about other exclusions, if it follows the power of the language of other exclusions...

If it is done in that way, then, since it has been promised that at that time the sound of the very nature to be proven should be expressed, it is not reasonable to obtain what is not desired. For example, when asked: Is what is to be proven the meaning of the sound, or is it the elimination of others? If it is said that the elimination of others is the meaning of the sound, then the proponent will generate a definite understanding of the elimination of the characteristics of the image as he said, and implicitly prevent the proof from being the meaning of the sound. If it is from the perspective of the sound of a pot, etc., then for it, the elimination of the characteristics of the image as it is said is actually generated by the sounds of the pot, etc. Therefore, it is shown by those very natures of proof, and implicitly it is a distinction that returns from others, so it will not become undesirable. Moreover, there is no fault of infinity, because implicitly it is a distinction that returns from others, but not by the very thing to be expressed. Since the non-expressible aspect has not been promised, there is no opportunity for the fault of arising faults in that aspect, so to show this, the phrase "non-expressible aspect" is spoken. Furthermore, "without near expression," etc., "only distinction," etc., are spoken. If, in reality, nearness is expressed to oneness, etc., then at that time you will become the object of laughter. When the teacher says that the nature of the deluded proponent is distinction itself, how will the wise begin to laugh? However, you refute without understanding what is to be expressed, and for you, the wise will become the object of great ridicule. Therefore, "those who have negation, those only," etc., "by the power of certainty," etc., are spoken. Wherever there is a statement of negation, not only is the part that returns from others a distinction, but also wherever there is no statement of negation, it is distinction itself. When you definitely think that you only recognize your own nature, your own words show this. If it is not so, then certainty will become meaningless.
