Abiding in. Also, there is no way to understand that it is not different from consciousness by ascertaining the self-nature of meaning, etc., because by ascertaining the self-nature, the nature of direct perception, the simultaneous determination of objects, is detrimental to what should be established by inference. Therefore, it is not the case that there is no difference due to the simultaneous determination of objects. Here, it should be answered, manifesting and knowing, also at a later time, takes the nature of external objects such as white and yellow, and becomes direct perception? What is said here for the time being is unreasonable, because the direct perception that arises later does not perceive the object of ascertainment. There is no appearance of consciousness that is different from the appearance of meaning. That which does not manifest an object should not be called direct perception. Therefore, because there is no understanding of the object of ascertainment, direct perception does not perceive. This has also been answered by what is understood by meaning, because in what is understood by meaning, there is no appearance of consciousness that is different from meaning. If the appearance of an object is not manifest, how can it grasp the meaning and be understood by meaning? Therefore, by understanding the meaning, ascertainment is also understanding the meaning, otherwise, there is no understanding of the meaning. If there is no ascertainment, then what is understood by meaning is also unreasonable. As it is also said: Mixed, all can be seen, the seer should definitely act, so what is this, said to be seen by others. Thus it is said. Therefore, simultaneous objectification is accomplished. Although simultaneous objectification has been determined, is it not to understand that the natures are different? How is there no difference? As it is also said: Because the nature is seen as non-different, the mind is established as non-different. Here it is said: The appearance of different meanings is not different from experiencing the nature of blue. Those two simultaneous determinations of objects, are they not confused like the double moon, etc.? Because there is no objectification of the two natures, here, as the confusion of what is objectified, so also is it different, like a yaksha, so also should a torma be. Therefore, because there is no analogy, to establish by inference

It is not accomplished. Here it is said, what is meant by "specifically directed" in relation to what? If it is said that it is in relation to definite knowledge, then the realization of definite knowledge by means of distinct things such as blue has already been established. However, if it is said that definite knowledge is definitely known as distinct in the nature of happiness, etc., then it should also be said that the meaning of "there is no specific saying," etc., is this: The definite objects of simultaneous perception benefit each other, and since there is no nature of what is to be benefited, there is neither grasper nor grasped. Whatever has no slight effect becomes the grasper. For simultaneous perception, there is not even a slight grasper. Because of the establishment of one's own nature, no transformation is seen. Because there is no other that has not been seen. If it is said that it is for the sake of knowing, then what is this "knowing"? Is it arising? Is it transforming? Is it obtaining? Thus, there are three kinds of discrimination. For the time being, it is not arising, because the grasper does not arise from the object. Transformation is also impossible, because transformation is necessarily spoken of when something other than what was previously seen is seen. However, the arising of knowledge that was not known is transformation. In this way, however, the knowledge that produces the grasper is called obtaining. Is that also different from the object? It is not different from the object. If it is different, then what is the connection with the transformation of the object? If it is said that the knowledge is produced by the object, then what knowledge is there? If it is said that it is the nature of the support and the supported together with what is to be produced, it is unreasonable, just as falling into the mud and thinking it is a stepping stone, it cannot be accomplished in that situation. By the power of the nature of the support and the supported, it is impossible to become the power of the nature of action. However, if the knowledge of the arising side is also produced by the object of knowledge, and that is also a different nature, then again, by producing knowledge, it becomes endless. If the object and knowledge are different, since the knowledge and object are different, it becomes too much for the object and knowledge to be different. Therefore, because it is the nature of definite knowledge. There is nothing different from knowledge.

Sa. From the certainty of simultaneous perception, the desired meaning is manifestly accomplished. Just as the aspect of the grasper is, so is the aspect of the grasped. Just like pleasure and so forth, it is the aspect of blue, and because it is only self-awareness, it is established as only consciousness. Thus, because there are pleasure and so forth, the very act of grasping them as distinct from blue and so forth is not distinct, because there is no certainty of simultaneous perception, so there is no function for what has become one. Therefore, the non-establishment of the two as distinct is not the understanding of them as distinct, is it? Here it is said: It is not merely a matter of establishing that pleasure and so forth and the aspect of blue are not distinct. However, the aspect of pleasure and so forth is self-awareness, definitely known, and there is no difference from the simultaneous aspect of blue, which is the meaning of valid cognition (pramana). Therefore, for that very reason, blue is knowledge, called 'that.' Here, 'that' refers to blue itself. Therefore, the knowledge of blue and blue are not different. The knowledge of the aspect of pleasure is not the blue pleasure itself, but must be definitely known through knowing pleasure. Therefore, the grasper of pleasure is the collection of pleasure, and similarly, the grasper of blue and so forth is the collection of blue, and therefore, the two are the certainty of simultaneous perception. There is no ability to perceive without abandoning the perception of blue. If the perceived is different from the object of perception, it will appear as something else. Therefore, there is no difference, but simultaneous perception, like water and milk. Therefore, whatever is certainly perceived simultaneously is not perceived as different, and therefore, it is not different. Otherwise, the establishment of difference and non-difference of all things would be destroyed, and all things would be mixed, without distinction, like a lump of fire and iron. If that is the case, then even the appearance of difference comes from experiencing the nature of blue. If it is not another meaning, why say that? Others believe that pleasure and so forth are definitely known, and blue and so forth are the grasped and the grasper. From that idea, simultaneous perception is certain, and there is no fault in establishing non-difference. Like this, together
