If it is said to be a dharma of a possessor, then the dharma of all possessors will become the reason itself, and at that time, one should not only mention the possessor. By merely stating the dharma, it will also become a possessor. The word "also" shows that it not only becomes a possessor, but also stating the dharma will become a possessor. Like this, when there exists the characteristic of depending on other dharmas, becoming dependent on others, it will undoubtedly lead to the possessor, so what is the use of mentioning the possessor? What is to be relied upon is the basis, and the possessor to be relied upon is the basis-possessor. Its establishment is the establishment of the basis-possessor. Or, the establishment of the possessor that has become the basis is the establishment of the basis-possessor. Thus, whatever establishes the possessor and is called the possessor will completely include the dharma to be established. Therefore, adding a specification is meaningless. In this regard, if according to the manner of explanation, although the force of stating the possessor has already eliminated all possessors, it will also completely include some possessors. If the dharma to be established is established, then how does one know this? Therefore, the phrase "because it is near" is stated, meaning that by stating the possessor that is related to the near, it is thought that it completely includes the dharma to be established. Here, near refers to what appears in the mind or what must be established. The word "also" not only makes the dharma to be established established through specification. Then, what is it like? Stating the possessor will also make it established, that is how it is shown. Or, the meaning of the word "also" is that not only does stating the possessor make it established, but also stating the dharma that is related to the near will make the dharma to be established established, which is the former view. In this regard, temporarily here, in order to prove that stating the possessor will cause confusion to other things, and that the proponents of established tenets will also show confusion about the near, therefore, "the possessor of the example also" etc. are stated. The possessor of the example is also near, it also appears in the mind as the very thing to be established, and it is also the occasion for what is to be established.

Therefore, how can it be established that the object of doubt is the dharma to be proven? Furthermore, the opponent mentions "its part pervades" and so on. If one wishes to consider the example as the subject of dharma here, then what is the meaning of mentioning "the dharma of the subject of dharma" that the example possesses? If it is said that it is the reason, then the example possessing the reason is established merely by mentioning "its part pervades." Therefore, the remaining part, which mentions "the dharma of the subject of dharma," becomes the meaning of completely including the dharma to be proven. In order to make the pervasion believable, it is also necessary to state without a doubt "its part pervades." If it is stated, it can be established by that alone. If the example serves as the reason, then "its part pervades" is unreasonable. If the term "subject of dharma" is not mentioned, then what does the word "it" in "its part pervades" refer to? There is no fault in this, because it has already been said that even if the dharma is stated, it still only becomes the subject of dharma. Therefore, the word "it" refers to the dharma that is approached by stating the dharma, which is the former view. The proponent of the established conclusion says that even if it is established, it is mentioned again for the sake of certainty, which is doubtful, and so on. Because it is also seen that even if it is established, it is mentioned again for the sake of certainty, in order to show with examples the doubt that arises from determining this as the dharma to be proven. By explaining only through existence in similarities, etc., for example, merely through the phrase "exists in the similar side," the reversed reason is established on the dissimilar side. Although the reversed reason is established on the dissimilar side, if it is said that there is no reason for something that should not be established, then this is an explanation to ensure that the reason is reversed only from what does not exist, and not from other things or contradictions. Similarly, here too, although the example is established as having a reason by mentioning "its part pervades," what is the "dharma of the subject of dharma" that is mentioned? What is the dharma of the example?
