Because when things exist, impermanence is not established. Impermanence is contrary to the nature of changing things. If it exists only for a moment, then it will not become a thing, just like the second moment. This shows that things and impermanence rely on contradictory dharmas. The so-called "same" is like the many that arise from establishment and non-establishment when other things are the cause, and it is also the same when the cause is not other things. To avoid this, it is said that "there is no other." Obtaining a nature that was not previously present is called establishment. If impermanence becomes a thing, then it will rely on the contradictory dharma of being previously unestablished and later established, because what will be established later? There is nothing that is the thing of impermanence. Therefore, because the reason itself is not established, there is no situation of relying on contradictory dharmas. If impermanence itself is not a thing, then how are the argument and the thesis related by its own nature? That is why it is said "thing." The so-called "dharma that exists for a moment" refers to the nature of the changing dharma itself as impermanence. Because it itself is to be established, it is said to be its own explanation when the argument and the thesis are not different. Therefore, things will change, will be impermanent, and so on. Such words are not saying that the nature or result of things is established, but are saying that the meaning of the seen nature does not exist. If other things are said, then it will lead to the fault of not showing the change of the previous thing. This has been said many times. What is the superfluous part? It refers to the dharma that exists for a moment. Then, why is it said that the pot is impermanent, the pot is impermanent, what is said is different? The answer is: the words, that is, the expression is different, even if it is many. This is also the case for this different terminology. If it becomes dharma and dharmī, what will happen? When it is said that there is no difference, it is dharmī, such as sound is impermanent.

Also. Expressing differently is the nature of dharma, that is, the so-called "impermanence of sound." The two words dharma and dharmin express the same meaning that is the opposite of permanence. This different word has other special reasons, that is, it does not abandon other contradictions, and it can be unified with the nature of the dharma to be expressed. When expressing a dharma that can be related to other dharmas, other dharmas are not abandoned, such as "sound is impermanent." Here, the dharma of "impermanence" is said to be able to be unified with the sound itself and other dharmas that depend on sound. When the dharma itself cannot be related to the sound itself and other dharmas that depend on sound, it is abandoning other dharmas, such as "the impermanence of sound." Here, the "impermanence" is said to be unable to be unified with the dharmas that depend on sound, but with the dharmas that depend on their own nature, such as pervasiveness, impermanence can be related. Therefore, for the dharma of dharmin that can be related to other dharmas, showing the difference is the sixth case (षष्ठी विभक्ति ). For a common basis, it will not become abandoning and not abandoning. Like this and so on, what is to be shown is from where to where it extends, which has been determined in the Pramāṇavārttika, so it will not be elaborated here. If the nature of things, that is, the contradictory dharma itself is destruction, then, if so, how do the proponents think that the state of contradictory nature, the state that arises later, is destruction? To this, it is also said, "This nature is as seen." For those who have a foolish mind due to the habits of ignorance from beginningless samsara, if it is not so, why can't they recognize all the nature of the things seen? If ignorance cannot recognize the contradictory dharmin itself, then, for the destroyed things, it will not be recognized as unstable. For such doubts, in order to show that having the habits of ignorance is also the cause of external confusion, it is said that only taking existence related to contradictory and non-contradictory things,
