Furthermore, understanding hidden things by relying on signs is also inference. Therefore, it is not direct perception. Whichever valid cognition is different from direct perception is none other than inference; however, it is inference itself. Whichever is different from direct perception and also different from inference is simply not a valid cognition. In order to refute inference, thinking that eliminating the number of things like the three beauties on the other side is emptiness itself, therefore also negating the number two itself, it is said: It is not direct perception; there is no valid cognition other than direct perception. Because that is the nature of things themselves with the aspect of being inverted, and if inversion is also a valid cognition, then from where does the certainty of all valid cognitions come? Similarly, the reason of effect is not established, a lotus born from a lotus is also seen from the dung of a cow, similarly, fire is also from the rubbing of fire and rubbing wood. The reason of nature, although there is no difference in its own nature, what arises immediately after exertion is the understanding of impermanence, but impermanence itself is not its own. That is also unreasonable, because there is no difference in reason. Merely arising immediately after exertion is not its own nature, because the relationship exists on both. Therefore, these two reasons of effect and nature are certainly not established, therefore what is said that inference is not a valid cognition is unreasonable, because whatever object is grasped by direct perception, that itself cannot be obtained, because it is momentary. However, the object that is particularly clung to without difference is the object of entry of the cause of the thing itself, and obtaining the object of entry that is particularly clung to is not different from inference. Thus, the reason why direct perception can obtain is also only that it does not arise without it, and that is not different for inference, it will be explained in this way. Therefore, it is not by the power of the appearance of things that anything is established as a valid cognition. The reason of effect also exists completely

Therefore, because different results are seen on all different causes. Therefore, there is no confusion. Similarly, the meaning of determination is to make it understood. Determination also determines some things as their own nature that is determined separately, for example, like determining a shala tree as the nature of a tree. There are also some that, when determining, determine the nature of what is not that, for example, just like determining the tree itself as the nature of being a shala tree and not being a shala tree. Therefore, the moment of arising that determines only the nature of impermanence is what makes it understood. Because of confusion, impermanence itself, which determines the nature of both, is not made understood by the moment of arising. The difference in the nature of the moment of arising, Impermanence cannot be determined without a sign. Even if it is determined, taking a sign is meaningless. Therefore, the reason of nature can determine. Furthermore, because abandoning it, one should not admit it itself, it is unreasonable for you to accuse inference and admit inference. If you ask: How is it? The answer is: Because what, etc., needs to be shown. Valid cognition and the other, establishing them as a general aspect, is a general establishment, therefore. If you ask: Why say general? The answer is: Because here, the object of some clarity of knowledge is experience. Some experiences, although there is no experience of the object, but due to the difference of object, time, and clarity, and the power of habituation, the time of arising itself can determine whether it is direct perception or not valid cognition. Doubting confusion only transforms on the clarity of knowledge of distant objects, not on all, this has already been said at the beginning. Therefore, in order to show that without inference, for experience and non-experience, those existing in one's own and others' continuums, will not have the general characteristic of being valid cognition or not valid cognition. It is also for knowing the minds of others, thinking that what is different from the body cannot be known by direct perception. Saying to prevent refers to the name of prevention.
