Even if one has already understood, in order to realize the ignorance that cannot use reasoned terms, non-observation is applied. If it exists, it is also applied to not calling it by the term of its own result. Whoever has leaves, etc., uses the term "tree." When a fool later speaks, he only applies it by saying, "Because it has leaves, etc., it is a tree," like saying, "This is an ox, because it has dewlaps, etc." By saying that the one who produces is like a father, it shows that the subsequent inference that establishes terms is an example of non-observation and conformity. Even if one has already used the term "of" with the reason of the producer, when speaking at some time, one remembers that the reasons for the term "father" are only these, and thus one understands it oneself, or as others establish it. If there is no ignorance about something, then from where does one prevent the difference that is not there, it is said to be only in appearance. Appearance exists, it is said to come from non-observation of "of" that has no confusion for knowledge. Appearance exists, because there is no confusion for knowledge, it is pervaded by the nature of the object of knowledge. No knowledge is the non-observation of the object of knowledge that pervades, because from the reasoning of debate, it has been said that its nature exists and is pervaded by its measure. The term applier also, for what reason does he not observe the appearing thing here, therefore it does not exist, by approximating with non-observation itself, following its pervader's non-observation, thereby realizing that there is no meaning itself. Therefore, in the Hetubindu, "Whoever cuts it off," etc., and "Whoever knows from determination is himself cutting off from other knowledge, and cutting off things with things," etc., all other statements of cutting off are the reason for the absence of a pervader. For example, "This is blue, not yellow," like this, when preventing something that is the nature of appearance, here

I do not accept the statement that "there is no yellow in the world," but it is not unacceptable to think that the nature of this appearance does not exist. Therefore, one acknowledges the appearance of yellow while negating it. Because, as long as an appearance exists, negating its self-nature is equivalent to acknowledging that everything is appearance itself, therefore, the non-observation of appearance is inevitable. It is said in the *Drop of Reasoning* that no further distinction should be made. Therefore, as long as one negates the self-nature of knowledge and the object of appearance, the non-observation of appearance is necessarily present, but the universally present non-observation is not so. The negation of difference is only universally present in appearance, therefore, it is particularly emphasized as "becoming the characteristic of observation." Therefore, only the universally present non-observation can negate. The non-observation of knowledge and the knowable can only be determined by correctly recognizing the uniquely certain knowledge, because there is no doubt in merely knowing existence itself. Therefore, only from experiencing a single knowledge can one definitively say "this is observed, this is not observed," thereby determining whether knowledge and the knowable are observed or not observed. Forms such as "this is observed, this is not observed," through the conceptual thoughts of negating and establishing objects and knowledge, have manifest results. However, forms such as "this exists, this does not exist," through the conceptual thoughts of the existence or non-existence of things, do not necessarily have results. Like "this is not" or "does not exist," conceptual thoughts in the form of negating existence are established through non-observation, not through direct perception. Therefore, the observed knowledge and the knowable themselves are the cause of determining the non-observation of the knowable, and therefore are called non-observation. Therefore, by determining non-appearance as non-observed, one cannot include determining non-appearance as the non-existence of things, because that would mistakenly assume that things do not exist. By determining appearance as non-observed, one can indirectly infer that the appearing thing does not exist, because the appearing thing

If there are other things, it is called implication because it should not be unobserved. Therefore, the knowledge that can determine a single thing is actually determined by the direct perception itself that the manifested thing does not exist. Because the thing that direct perception wants to observe does not exist, it is not with a body, therefore, what grasps the non-existence of things is this determination itself. Also, because the non-existence of things does not appear directly because of its own non-existence, and even if it is not observed, it exists, so suspecting that not observing is wrong, therefore, even if the non-existence of things can be grasped by implication, the term of direct perception cannot be used. It is possible by not observing the manifested thing, because direct perception observes some aspects, so following the action of direct perception itself, saying "there is no that here", because it cannot be determined that there was nothing before, so it is desired to establish the term, but not to establish the non-existence of things. Where direct perception cannot understand the thing to be pervaded does not exist, the non-existence of things is established by not observing the pervader, such as saying "because there is no tree, there is no tree sap". Here, because it has been established, the term is to be established. Because direct perception has established that things do not exist, therefore, the Pramana says "the work of one pramana is to completely cut it off" and so on, and "proving that root consciousness is non-conceptual is direct perception itself", and "the non-existence of things is the place separated from the pot and its knowledge itself", it has been said there and there. Some people, even if they enter the term, are only accustomed to bad discrimination, are confused about the things to be pervaded and the pervader, and think that the reason for the term of non-existence of things is other, this is called confusion. Otherwise, how can it be said that the term of non-existence of things is confusion just because there is no pervader due to existence? That is also when following the completely established object, realizing that the reason for the term of non-existence of things is only not observing itself, and for the object that wants to be understood, the non-existence of things
