It is established together with the means of establishment. Therefore, the property of the dharma of the means of establishment, like the property of the example, also possesses the dharma to be established, so from similarity it is close to being necessary for the establishment of what is to be established. If it is said that similarity to what is to be established is also related to the example of what is to be established, then this is not meaningful, because by what means of close measurement can some things be established? Things are the same as some things and some forms of things themselves, etc., and by merely being the same, other natures cannot be determined. Why can't other natures be determined from similarity? Because there are no things that are not similar to the measurable itself, even things and some forms of things. However, similarity itself, if by means of similarity it becomes the nature of things similar to what, then all things will become the nature of all things, which contradicts direct perception, so other natures cannot be determined. Because merely similarity cannot determine other natures, the dharma pervaded by what is to be established, such as impermanence, etc., that is, by being made, etc., and being in accordance with it, sound, etc., is in accordance with what is to be established, and not with others. Therefore, the part of understanding what is to be established by this reason, the place pervaded by what is to be established, is the measure of the example pervading, which is excellently shown. For the very reason that merely the establishment of what is to be established in accordance with the means of establishment is not an example of the realm of excellently showing pervasion, for example, although in accordance with speech and non-omniscience, the desired person is not an example. It is also not that it is not an example because what is to be established is not established, if it is established in accordance with the means of establishment, and is the realm of the sign of establishing pervasion, then it will become an example, for example, by means of existence and momentariness, the pot is called meaning. Because what is to be established is established by being in accordance with the dharma pervading what is to be established, and not by others, therefore, here, the Svātantrika directly needs to be close to what is to be established. Because it is not related to that reason, it will not be meaningless.

Nor is it a transformation. Although it is not directly needed, if it is not related, how can it be understood as meaningless? Because that very reason itself is fully endowed with the meaning of the nature of accomplishing what is to be accomplished. Therefore, the example is contained within the meaning of the reason. When stating a similar reason, it is explained because it is in a situation of stating a similar refutation. What is stated is the ultimate result of incompleteness and so on that is uncertain. Because of this statement, it is a word. That is the refutation. The explanation given to refute this is called incompleteness and so on. Because of this statement, it is a statement word. Furthermore, how is it refuted? Because that statement hinders the accomplishment of what others desire. If, even without pointing out the fault, the meaning of the reason itself has a fault, because it has no ability, will it not therefore accomplish what others desire? If you say so, then how can pointing out the fault be called refutation? Although it is true that the thing itself has no ability, so the desired thing will not be accomplished, it is not the case that it can accomplish the nature of what is to be accomplished, or that refutation can reverse what has been accomplished. Why? Because those such as made and impermanent, at all times, possess the previous nature. Then why? Because establishment and refutation, in order, establish the ability to clarify the objects that abide in the manner of the proponent and the opponent. The proponent is able to establish some signs that accomplish what is to be accomplished, while the opponent cannot. Ability and inability, that too is naturally abiding. Causing to abide, establishing the ability to establish,
