If one is not completely satisfied (with the other party's demands). Why would scriptures be harmful at that time? Because when transforming in the third place, it is reasonable to accept scriptures for the sake of transformation. Therefore, only at that time will scriptures be harmful, and not at other times. If it is said that fully accepting scriptures is also the reason for that, then it is said, "By its established meaning." If one does not accept scriptures when transforming in the third place, then at that time, it is also not permissible to think that the meanings established by the scriptures are contrary to the scriptures, because the subject is not established. If it is said that acceptance preceded by examination, how can one contemplate the meanings established by it? It is said, "After examination." How can it be harmful to establish a tenet with that? That is to say, for the one who shows the impermanence itself, which is established by scriptural measure in relation to that opponent, if one establishes the tenet as the quality of space, how can there be harm? There is no harm at all. Or, if it is thought that establishing a tenet with that will be harmful because of understanding the scriptures? For that scripture, one should not examine it again, because it has already been examined. If one still examines it in that way, then at that time that scripture will not be what was previously examined. The meaning of "again" is that one accepts the scriptures even without examining them. "Established by measure" means impermanence itself. "Not established by measure" means the quality of space itself. "Outside of the third" means for the objects of direct perception and inference. "If that" etc. are the impermanence etc. to be established. "If" etc. is the dispute. "If the scriptures are not accepted, then at that time the meaning of fearing harm from the scriptures" means that the scriptures have already caused harm. "Not" etc. is acceptance. "Impermanence itself established by measure." "Established by measure is not contradictory by not harming, therefore what is to be established by that is not" means unreasonable words. Because there is no connection between the scriptures and the person. Then how does the scripture become the person? The scripture is endowed with qualities, therefore it has the nature of being completely pure in the three realms, so it is the person's.

A treatise endowed with qualities, because it possesses antidotes, it holds; a treatise not endowed with qualities does not hold. If one thinks there is no connection, it is like this. Then, that is because it possesses qualities, hence it is said to be a quality-fault. If it is not a treatise, then what is this? It is said to be the attainment of the limit. After that, it is from not being devoured by demons. This explains that first the latter half is explained, then the former half is explained, which is together, the connection that arises together with the person and the treatise. Possessing it is possessing the scriptures. If the scriptures harm the valid cognition, because the valid cognition is abandoned, then there is no distinction between qualities and faults, saying that is valid cognition. That, is abandoning what contradicts the treatise, the analogy that agrees with that. Even if it is not valid cognition, it has not abandoned contradiction, thus it is connected. The nature of phenomena itself, that is, with the sound of the nature of phenomena, for that itself, the nature of phenomena, the quality of space itself, if it harms the establishment of impermanence itself by the nature of being made, then for the statement, that is, for impermanence as well. Or, impermanence itself, this is established by the quality of space itself. Therefore, what harms is said to be like that. Other than that, it is harming the absence of fire by establishing fire. If there is no connection, because the quality of the nature of phenomena of space itself is not established, then how will impermanence itself not be established? If that is established, that is, if impermanence itself is established, then it is said to establish impermanence itself. If someone says that, is there such a vision? If someone thinks like that, even a wisp of smoke is like that. Because it is contradictory, it is an argument. Because fire and the touch of cold are contradictory, even if smoke establishes fire that contradicts cold, smoke is not like a contradictory pseudo-reason. Contradiction is the same, that is, if it becomes impermanence, there is no quality itself. Qualities and things that possess qualities are on permanent things. Things are impermanent and, there are no things, are the qualities of space. That, is what is said from the treatise, without taking the qualities of space itself and other phenomena.
