If it is said that it does not exist in the subject, but it does exist in reality, what is it like? It is said, what is it like? In the dissimilar example, the dharma, itself exists, and itself does not exist, which refers to immutability. Because it is unreasonable for the reason to exist or not exist in that itself, therefore there is no other possibility. Then, what is the third subject that should be fully grasped? It is said, that is also. No, etc., this is the answer. Considering the phrase "homogeneity exists," the "dharma of the subject" is also mentioned. In order to clearly grasp, it means that the dharma of the homogeneous example is the real reason, not the dharma of the subject to be proven. If, even if the subject is not mentioned, only homogeneity can be clearly grasped, then why mention the subject for this purpose? Therefore, in order to dispel the doubt that "then, because there is no other, the subject to be proven will be fully grasped," it is said, "If again," etc. No, etc., this is the answer.

That is to say. Regarding the doubts about "name" and "bearer of name" etc., the meaning is this: When pointing out "pakṣa-dharma", the word "pakṣa" expresses the meaning of a collection. But it does not refer to the dharma that is distinguished by the difference that one wants to understand. It also wants to point to the dharmin. Therefore, the name "pakṣa" should not be established on the dharmin, because that would be too difficult to understand. This is called (difficult to understand). The word "not" is an answer, because it is a refutation. This is called (refutation), meaning that here the relationship between name and bearer of name is also the same. The synonyms of what is to be proven are clarified by worldly fame, that is, like that. To show that the teacher also approves of the word "pakṣa" as a synonym for what is to be proven, it is said "like that". Why is what is to be proven established as near? Because there is no establishment of near. Regarding the debate of "if" etc., the meaning is this: If it is said that the dharmin with the difference of dharma is to be inferred, then this is not near either, then how can it be established as near, and then say that the dharmin is pakṣa? "For that" refers to the dharmin with the difference of dharma. "Establishing near is not impossible" is the connection. "Why?" Because "there", that is, for the word that can be inferred with the difference of dharma. For this itself, saying other reasons is "like this". To clarify these two reasons, it is said "after". Because what is to be proven itself is near, therefore. To clarify this itself, it is said "through near". To welcome the opposite question, it is said "if". The meaning is this: If the difference of the part of what is to be proven that is established as near is pakṣa, and its dharma is the reason, like that, the dharma of the difference of the dharmin that is established as near is pakṣa, and its dharma is also the reason, it will also become like this. "Pakṣa" is the answer. Saying pakṣa is abandoning the dharma to be proven, and the one to be distinguished
