The very fact is when warding off the cold, does the term happiness, etc., come from that? Or is it realized from the aspect of one's own awareness, as stated by proponents of such established tenets, others say that this is also difficult to establish. The expression of doubt is, "Sometimes even without fire." Whatever is the realization of fire from the nature of smoke, what is that? It is the later aspect of awareness or whatever is the term for warding off the cold. If one realizes that, that is, if one admits to realizing that fire, then it is the characteristic of the tactile aspect of awareness, or the characteristic of inferring after other terms. Like this, wherever there is the tactile aspect of awareness or the term for dispelling cold, there, what is not, exists, just as it was previously experienced. Here too, it is the same, this is called inference. Even for that inference, not being mistaken is also from another inference, from where does this come? From inference itself. Another statement of refutation is, "Through awareness," that is, through the awareness of warmth. "Form" refers to clear color. Tactile consciousness is only the establisher of form, but if one were to establish the distinction of form, it is uncertain, that is his intention. The yellow conch comes because it comes to the golden conch that is the object of knowledge. This is the very famous conch and the golden conch, the tactile aspect of awareness is the same, but the distinction of color, white or yellow, cannot be established, that is what is being shown. If the tactile aspect of awareness is mistaken, then others might think, will there be help from the term "this fire"? So where it was said. What is done after considering beforehand also exists in other ways. For example, monkeys use a pile of dry grass for the purpose of warding off the cold, then is this inferred from seeing the term "this fire"? That is what he is considering. To this, proponents of established tenets say: "That is also not true." "That also" refers to inference. The establisher of being completely mistaken is not related to smoke in that way. "That not" refers to what is hidden. "Far away, etc.," and so on.

The sound of 'i' grasps what is hidden. Therefore, when other conceptualizations arise, conceptualization is the object of self-awareness's direct perception, so it is not appropriate to infer through inference, that is his view. If it is said that there are things beyond the senses, if it were not so, why would others not notice? Therefore, even if there is conceptualization, sometimes it is not noticed. By saying "the mottled itself is also," it means that things beyond the senses are also like that. Seeing a dog is being afraid. To understand in this way is to understand the nature of coldness. To express other changes is "like this." In naming without habit, there is no speculation, etc., that is, there is no conceptualization and doubt, etc., so naming is not possible. If it exists, that is, if habit exists, even without speculation, etc., the naming will change. Another way is that even without prior and subsequent speculation, it is possible. If not, that is, not our expression, then it is not other, that is, not false. Therefore, even without conceptualization, beings use naming because of habit. Then, in the case of unfamiliarity, will one understand the naming of one's own mind stream through inference? Relying on what is seen, it is only the object. Therefore, it is for the establishment of direct perception. In the case of habit or unfamiliarity, it is not the inference of naming. Speculation, etc., that is, conceptualization, etc. Another way is that even without speculation, etc., it is possible. Showing that the example and meaning are the same is "for that also." Without connection, it is impossible not to deceive, in order to show the closeness of connection only in naming, the expression is "like this." The basis is the same, that is, existing on the same object, it is called that. That, that is, the characteristic of a cow. Expressing understanding is "the sound of a cow." Like this, becoming a blinded object, that is, the object of direct perception. This is also the expression of naming, like this.
