It will not regress. Therefore, the appearance of conceptual thought is meaning itself, and meaning is also the object of conceptual thought, so it is appropriate as the very nature of the general characteristic of excluding others. In reality, appearances and things to be distinguished are only different. For example, the appearance itself is the object, but it is not clear, and a common basis and so on are not allowed. That which demonstrates this is "those who think of that very nature," and so on. Therefore, since it is the very object of meaning depending on special attachment, it must be determined that the very nature of the general characteristic also comes from attachment. When it becomes related to meaning by the power of attachment, then depending on that, the appearance of the mind is suitable as the nature of the general characteristic. For that very reason, the nature of meaning will be explained as the general characteristic. Here it is said, "If," meaning that when thinking of that very nature, conceptual thought is said to be only the object of its own appearance. If speaking generally depending on special attachment, then it also follows the thought of the cognizer. You are only not dependent on the cognition of the cognizer. If they also follow the thought of the cognizer, then it will not become the general characteristic of excluding others, because such cognition does not exist. There is no attachment to the perversion of meaning. Entering into the state of being devoid of superimposition, etc., because there is no commitment to accept these ways, but only negation, even if the fault of not understanding the exclusion of others is avoided, it will necessarily depend on accepting the thought of cognition. To eliminate this, it is said, "Not only is it not understood." This is saying that not all of the nature that is being cognized will be established by cognition, because the nature of cognition cannot exist in any other way, so whatever kind of establishment this is, it is not saying that it has become impossible because it is outside of the nature that is being cognized. If that were the case, just as in the aspect of the object of excluding others, because there is no inverted cognition, so it is said that it is not the nature of the general characteristic, so too, in the aspect of promising the general characteristic, there are also differences...

There is no realization of this. Therefore, it should not be understood like the nature of other exclusions. Therefore, this is the connection: not only is there no realization of the nature of other exclusions, but also there is no realization of difference and non-difference, and so on. Therefore, if it is said that because there is no realization, it will not become other exclusion, then it will not become the essence of difference and so on either. Thus, answering by proving sameness is called wisdom with a non-different aspect, that is, appearing as non-different. For its arising, one says that its object is the nature of non-difference, which is the general that exists in things. Thus, it also becomes only the basis for realizing non-difference. Relying solely on the establishment of realizing its nature as non-difference, since its nature cannot become other, just as how the dharmas of difference and so on are examined. We also rely solely on the nature of non-difference established by realization, and solely by the way that it cannot become other, we say that it is merely the nature of appearance, and similarly, the nature established by cutting off superimpositions is the nature of other exclusion. Therefore, there is no difference in realization for both opponents. Just as the establishment is made by promising an entity other than this established by realization, so do we also examine. However, if the way we examine is not promised, then difference and so on will not be able to establish the general well, therefore it is only said that way. The so-called general is not to be established, but in all cases, realization itself is to be established. Therefore, if in order to make oneself established, the
