It shows that other than understanding from the selflessness of one's own nature through the scriptures, it also shows that the scriptures are not valid means of cognition. Someone says, aren't the asceticism of the moon and pulling out hair, etc., becoming inconsistent sides? The display of this is called "various fruits", because there are many fruits such as happiness and suffering, so it is considered that it should not become other, the ultimate destination of the fruit of karma is asceticism, from the nature of approaching suffering, it becomes the ultimate destination of the fruit itself, not other, this is his thought. Different abilities mean that their respective natures are different. Doing extremely difficult paths to overcome is: becoming thin by completely demeaning oneself. Those actions of leaving and restraining are not uprooted forever. Thinking that you only think that the karma done through this reasoning will also be exhausted, the display of this is that we think that the producer of that fruit is called "partial kinds", demeaning oneself and repentance, etc., are small or temporary exhaustion, similar ones will not become other producers. Through the karma of experiencing asceticism, what will make the fruit of arising smaller or exhausted? Those of different kinds are not. The fruit of arising of different kinds of karma becomes smaller or exhausted, this is the commentator's statement, what shows this is "what karma". The ability to produce sinful fruits is mixed with the ability of merit, only experiencing the fruits of sin, the fruits of merit will also be exhausted, because considering the clear distinction of these, so it is a plural word. Where do these come from? Called "asceticism". How do you know that it is only the power of asceticism? Called "part of afflictions". Even so, what to do when the mixed abilities are exhausted? Make the part small. What will it become after that? Called "abandonment transformation". Where does it come from? From no afflictions or thin afflictions, there will be abandonment transformation. If it is said that what is said about asceticism, etc., is also to show the former aspect of this meaning itself.

If I acknowledge the power of asceticism, then a portion of its result is that, through mixed powers and the like, one can eradicate afflictions from their roots, which is the former view. If shaving hair and lunar asceticism are afflictions, then other ascetic practices, such as generosity and discipline, are the creation of merit and wisdom, and confession and vows, etc. If so, then what you say is exactly what we desire, because this is the nature of non-affliction. This is what is shown, if it is called asceticism, etc. Just as generosity and discipline, etc., are afflictions, are the afflictions of serving the five fires, etc., not also asceticism? If one says this, it means "affliction itself." The result of karma is only the result of karma that arises from this karma, with the affliction of creation preceded by wisdom, and separated from generosity, etc. If it is said that this, like generosity, etc., is karma itself arising from scriptures that speak of karma, then it is not liberation, because it is the cause of the result of karma. If it is said to be the result of extreme bliss, this is also unreasonable, just as extreme bliss is unreasonable like affliction. If it is said that just as happiness is permanent, so is affliction, then this is not liberation, just as it is not liberation like samsara, because it is the cause of affliction. "From that itself" means from asceticism that possesses generosity, etc. "By others" means by asceticism called merit. "From the complete result of what is done" means the third that is not of the same kind. "By others" means affliction. It is shown that the result of karma itself is established in both, which means "affliction." It is shown that it contradicts the promise, which means "then how?" What is called uncertain is the suffering of shaving hair, etc., why would it not become that? Therefore, uncertainty is the affliction of animals. If abandoning the happiness of kingship, etc., is harmless because it has become accustomed to the nature of desirelessness, then the suffering of hell, etc., will also disappear.
