That which is called "is" is not a fault. Because suffering is not absolute, but occurs occasionally, therefore, for self-establishment having habitual tendencies, etc., because it has following and reversing, it is understood as a cause. In order to explain how impermanence, like permanence, can be a cause, it is explained that this is unreasonable, that is, it is called "must be occasional." Suffering without a cause is constant, and impermanence is only non-existent, like before, there is no cause for later arising, because it does not exist. In order to explain "because it does not exist," it is called "always existing?" It is not existence, because self-establishment depends on others, and it will change in the same way later. Like that, existence is also, because the previous self-nature exists, so in order to explain that it does not return from self-nature, it only does not depend on others, that is, it explains "does not depend on others." In order to explain that with this thought also shows the truth of origin, that is, it is called "for the truth of origin also." In order to refute saying that suffering has no cause, it is shown in the way of "cause itself," that is, it explains "for that cause." One cause refers to the chief, etc. In order to explain that craving is not incapable like the chief, etc., that is, it is called "abandoning incapability." For that first explanation, in order to explain that it is the verse called "must be occasional," that is, it is called "suffering has a cause." That which is called "other" is not a cause. That which is called "other place" is not related to a cause. Or, apparent existence is impermanent, depending on that, in another place it is permanent, this is that meaning. For this "always existing?", in order to show another explanation, that is, it is called "or." That which is called "constant" is not absolutely existing. However, it also arises in all objects. For example, for the object of those with impaired vision, the knowledge of hair, etc. without a cause, only arises from the root consciousness clearly tending, this arises in all places. In order to explain that if suffering also has no cause, it will also change in that way, that is, it is called "how how." "Self-awareness" explains the valid cognition, therefore it is emptiness.

Merely focusing, the non-conceptual knowledge is like a dream. Dreams are also because their nature is a reliable object. That is its meaning. To show that permanence is not always present, it is said: Sometimes having the characteristic of being non-permanent. That is its meaning. When explaining "non-existent," it is said: Like the son of a person with azoospermia, etc. It is the same here. Or, another explanation is that if there is no cause, then the result itself is fundamentally non-existent, which is again the view of the Madhyamikas. Even if the cause of suffering is sometimes temporary, is it merely the nature of the great elements? It is not the nature of ignorance, craving, and karma, nor is it the nature of Ishvara, etc. Hasn't it been prevented that the great elements are the sole cause for the establishment of the next world? Statement: The mind of the first existence is the mother, etc., and because it follows the maker of minds that do not match the characteristics, other minds can be understood. Even if the nature of mind establishes the next world, the nature of states such as suffering, etc., are not caused by sentient beings, because if only the great elements exist, it can be established. The rebuttal is: Just like thorns, etc., merely the great elements themselves are the subject of the law, because it is the action of the producer. The cause is considered to be sentient, and similarly, this nature of existence, which has objects such as happiness and suffering, etc., the causelessness of sentient beings arising in the next world will also become a cause related to the idea of non-existence, so some causeless proponents say this. Through self-nature, etc., it is explained through swelling, etc. Even without blacksmiths, etc., it is explained through those differences, etc. The meaning here is: The nature of the great elements is like this, because the nature of the great elements arises only from the great elements. It is not made by sentient beings, and it is a difference in nature that has happiness and suffering, etc. Moreover, they are also the sharpness of thorns, etc., which is the production of the cause of the subject of the law.
