If it is not universally applicable, then it is uncertain. If the difference in shape is used as a reason and linked to things like mountains, it is not established. This is because mountains and other things do not possess the result of being connected by someone with prior intelligence. Because the differences in houses and other things follow their own particularities and are separated from other things, even if the author is not seen, people will think it is made, but mountains and other things do not have this characteristic. Similarly, the differences in dwelling and entering also apply to stakes and other things, so these reasons are not established. Therefore, if the characteristics such as shape that correspond to what needs to be proven are abandoned, and assertions are made based only on some similarities, then due to the lack of universal connection, when inferences are made, the potter will conclude that the anthill was also made by the potter because pots and other things are the cause of the change in clay. For example, the anthill is also a change in clay, so it is also made by the potter, just like pots and other things. But this is not accepted. Therefore, this inference is not established for others either. If the particularities are universally examined because of the universal reason, is this not the same as the result? It is not so, because the universal connection between the universality of "being made" and the universality of "impermanence" is examined, which is the same as the result. In order to correspond to what needs to be proven, the result also proves "being made" through universality. Then, is the reason of "being made" of the nature of sound, or of the nature of a pot? If it is of the nature of a pot, then it does not exist in sound, so it is not established. If the "being made" of sound is the reason, then the example is empty and cannot be proven. Therefore, since the things that have a connection are different, what fault is there in saying different names? This is like wanting to equate the results. Therefore, there is no particularity here that corresponds to what needs to be proven.

Therefore, the general concept of shapes and so on does not exist. Therefore, this is not a sufficient reason, because if the general concept is an argument, then it does not have universality. If it is a doubt or a special case, then it has not been proven. The difference of kind is the particularity of kind. For example, just as the shape that follows the particularities of palaces and so on, those with prior wisdom can see it, but not for the shapes of mountains and so on. For such a thing to be proven, the most famous is because the general concept of sound is visible. Having abandoned the particularity of kind, because the general concept of kind is grasped, just as it is also the expression of the sound of shape, it is also so, therefore this is not a reasonable argument. What do you think it is like? It's like because language and so on are cows, so it's like horned animals. Just because the word "cow" is related to language and so on, it is impossible to prove that there are horns with the argument that "because language and so on are cows." Therefore, hornedness itself is universally present in cows that follow special things such as spotted cows. Hornedness is the kind of spotted cows and other things, but not the kind of language and other things. Therefore, since the intention to express is subject to others, sound is not non-existent in anything, it exists in all things. If the goal can be achieved simply because there is sound, then all things, whether things or people, will achieve the goal. If the sound does not apply, then when it applies, it will change, so if the goal can be achieved simply because there is sound, then how can the goal that one wants to achieve be achieved? All of these prove that the arguments carefully designed by others have neither been proven nor are they certain. In order to prove that it has not been proven, it has just been shown that the general concept of sound itself is not an inference, so it is also the same for impermanence and so on. For the wisdom of monks and so on, and happiness and so on, they are mindless and so on, that is, it needs to be proven that they are mindless. Just as because the argument itself has not been proven, therefore it is not an argument, this is the analysis that has been done.
