In that case, there is no fault because there is no contradiction. Similarly, one should understand other things as appropriate. Viewing the aggregates as real is essentially a distorted perception. If the nature of not knowing and not being clear is something else, then how can ignorance also be called the view of the aggregates as real? Some of our own schools think this way. Those teachers who establish the definition of ignorance should also acknowledge that its essence is a distorted perception. In general, ignorance is all wrong knowledge. Its particularity is the view of the aggregates as real, because it is the root of afflictions, so it is the main one, and that is why it is said to be ignorance. For the time being, seeing things correctly is wisdom. If the cognition called ignorance is different from wisdom, contrary to it, or a dharma that does not have wisdom, then, for the time being, it cannot be different, because form and so on would also become like that. It cannot be non-existent either, because it is the state of the essence of things. If it turns into an incompatible aspect, then the incompatible aspect itself is also of a contradictory nature. Therefore, whatever aspect is perceived by wisdom, if it holds the opposite, distorted aspect, then it becomes what is called ignorance. Although it can be said that way, that is not the definition. So what is it? If it is said that the object of correct cognition is the definition of ignorance, then being devoid of correct view is merely non-existence. If it is not the definition of ignorance that has the essence of things, even if it touches things, it would lead to things without consciousness also becoming like that. Therefore, the thinker should state without ambiguity that the nature of ignorance is such, a definition that can be recognized in a special way. If there is something that hinders seeing the true nature of things, then that is ignorance, which is also not a definition, but it is contrary to the result. Therefore, its definition should also be stated separately. This should also be analyzed: because it is the opposite of wisdom, the ignorance of wrong cognition is ignorance. Wis

The very nature of perceiving things in a reversed manner from the aspect of what is to be grasped is ignorance. The reasoning is that whatever has a nature contrary to what is thought of, that becomes a reversed perception from the aspect of what is grasped by it. For example, from the aspect of what is grasped by the perception of happiness, the perception of suffering towards conditioned phenomena is like a reversed perception. Ignorance also has a nature contrary to the perception of wisdom, this is the reason of nature. Because it is a mental factor. Ignorance is a mental dharma, because it is the cause of being a mental factor, it apprehends, it is the apprehension of the object and aspect, it is not the nature of non-conceptualization. Thus, because the basis, object, and aspect, as well as time and substance are the same, it is considered to be associated because it possesses similarity. Even if it is already the nature of cognition, does it become one that holds the aspect of truth or one that holds the aspect of falsehood? For the time being, it is not intended to hold the aspect of truth, because holding it in that way is the characteristic of wisdom. Therefore, wrong objectification is ignorance. The reasoning is that whatever apprehends an object is the nature of objectifying, like consciousness. Ignorance also apprehends an object, this is the reason of nature. Whatever mental factor has a characteristic that is contrary to something, that is a reversed apprehension from the aspect of what is grasped by it, for example, impurity is like a reversed apprehension from the aspect of what is grasped by attachment. Ignorance also has a characteristic that is contrary to the wisdom that holds the aspect of truth, this is the very reason of nature. Because the Blessed One also said in those sutras that the very nature of reversed apprehension from the aspect of what is grasped by wisdom is ignorance. For example, in the Samadhi of the Noble Moon Lamp Sutra, it says, "What is it that has no ignorance? It is that which does not impute to the dharmas that are truly as they are," as it is said. Therefore,
