If there are not even some liberations, how are bondage and liberation established? The reason is that whatever is bondage is dependent on what is bound, like Devadatta being bound by iron chains. Samsara is also bondage, which is a reason of nature. Whatever is liberation is dependent on what is liberated, like Devadatta being liberated from iron chains. Nirvana is also liberation, which is a reason of nature. Therefore, others think that there must be some bondage and liberation. For this, these two reasons are not established, because there is simply no bondage and liberation. However, if there is ignorance, it will lead to wandering from action to confusion. Separated from self and what belongs to self, only a collection of suffering will arise, so it is said. Therefore, this is samsara. When ignorance ceases, action ceases, until the collection of suffering ceases, and this in between is liberation. Furthermore, the bondage and liberation of the self (ātman) do not exist. Therefore, the cause of the arising of suffering is said to be bondage. Because that which is permanent, merely the cause of the arising of suffering, is also powerless, from where does it come? The reason is that whatever is not the cause of suffering is not bondage, like the son of a barren woman. I am also not the cause of the arising of suffering, which is an example of contradictory pervasion. It should not be thought that this is not established, because in other instances it has already been shown that the permanent agent itself is not an agent. As previously stated, even if bound by bondage, that which is not the cause of the arising of suffering is liberation. That which is permanent, because the cause of the non-arising of suffering itself is not bondage, from where does it come? If it is not so, then it is a reversed discrimination. The detailed explanation, because other authors of treatises of our own school have already explained it a lot, so I will not elaborate. If there is no bondage and liberation from the permanent, then that is exactly what we desire, the permanent and the impermanent themselves.

If it is said that the person who cannot be spoken of is accepted as being bound and liberated, that is not the case, because there is no entity that is not of both kinds. Permanence and impermanence abandon each other, because they have the nature of existing. For things, one exclusion and complete exclusion, if there is no complete exclusion and exclusion from it, it will not arise. If that person is momentary or not momentary? For a while, if it is not momentary, because it is the later stage from the momentary, it is permanent. Therefore, it is contradictory to say that permanence is not to be said as permanence. If it is said that what is not impermanent, that is, not momentary, is non-existent. That is the cause of some fruit, which has been shown. Therefore, if the person is not existent, then he does not have the bondage that is the cause of suffering. At that time, not being bound is not the liberation of the nature that is not the cause of suffering, so how is bondage liberation? It is not possible for what cannot be said either. If it is said that there is no fault because it is not permanent, if it is said like that, what cannot be said is foolish, if it is like that, does his nature exist or not exist at all times? Therefore, if it exists, then it is permanent. In that way, there is no other permanence, just as whatever has an indestructible nature, the wise say is permanent. When it is like that, the view of imputation to a person who has no nature of permanence and impermanence, this is shameless, causing shame to the assembly of the wise. Since the nature is indestructible, therefore, in a straightforward manner, that person is said to be permanent. Like later playful distinctions, what is the use of clinging to words that have not been taught? The truth of cessation has been explained. Now that it has come to the time of the truth of the path, it is explained by saying the path and so on that has already been explained. When explaining the words of the Sugata, how is there no self?
