Because clear distinctions are not allowed, although such transformation is possible. When desire and so on arise, external objects act together. Whichever is closest arises at that time. Thus, because the object is definite, there is no fault of simultaneous arising. If you say so, that is not correct, like this: The object is not the determiner. Why? Because desire and so on are the objects of conceptual thought. If desire and so on do not arise relying on the proximity of external objects, then by what is it determined to arise? If not, then what is it? Because it is an object fabricated by conceptual thought, the object is not the determiner. Furthermore, we say that the arising of desire and so on has a cause of the same kind. You also do not accept that, because at the time when there is no cause of the same category for arising. Because there is no cause of the same category. Also, because it is prevented that what is not consciousness is also the immediately preceding cause. Thus, desire and so on are without cause. In that case, there is no certainty of desire and so on, or seeing the arising of desire and so on in some thing, that will not change. The syllogism is also, whatever has no cause is unchanging, like the fifth Suchness. Saying that desire and so on also have no cause is not observing the difference. If the arising of desire and so on is the cause, then it is an unestablished reason. If that is the case, because the aggregates are always without being incomplete, the cause of desire and so on is always near, because the cause is near, because of the transformation, all the minds of desire and so on will obtain arising at all times. The syllogism is, whatever is near when the cause is not incomplete, then it transforms at that time, like form and so on on the body itself. Saying that the minds of desire and so on are also near without the cause being incomplete, this is the reason of nature. Even if there is ability, it is not the existence of the own nature of desire and so on, saying this does not establish what is to be established.
