If it is said to be so, it is not. From habituation, the previously done habituation, from this, the Dharma of the mind will fully enter. Why? Because attachment and so on are clearly seen. In this life, some people have less attachment in the past, like conditions, from habituation, the parts of attachment and so on will become more. Those attachments and so on are clear, which is the result of previous habituation. Therefore, first of all, by nature, the clarity of attachment and so on of sentient beings is the result of previous habituation, and this will be understood. The combination is attachment, hatred, ignorance, pride, arrogance, jealousy, stinginess, anger, etc., as well as wisdom, compassion, loving-kindness, non-attachment, etc., as well as craftsmanship and sentient beings, etc., what is desired is clear, which is the result of previous habituation. For example, in this life, the merits mentioned earlier were not clear, but later became clear through the power of habituation. For those who have not seen the habituation of those merits, these Dharmas are also clear in this life, which is called the reason of the result. Similarly, even if the habituation of the previous world is not seen, if it can be proved, then there will be no doubt of contradiction, because the establishment of non-contradiction is uncertain. The clarity of attachment and so on is the result of previous habituation, but if it is thought that there is no habituation in the next world, the initial clarity is the result of previous habituation, which is also contradictory. The unclearness of attachment and so on, and the subsequent increase of habituation and so on, is also done by the previous nature being the same, but through habituation it will become clear, so it is not contradictory because it is not the emptiness that has been established. Even so, since the habituation of the next world needs to be established, is the example not the emptiness that has been established? No, because what needs to be established is beginningless.

If it is said, "This is this world, this is the other world," such distinctions are merely rough classifications made by children and youths, and one should not be attached to them. Arguing that sentient beings are beginningless in this way is not a fault. If it is established that clarity is due to prior habituation, then because it exists, there is clarity, so this reason is not non-pervasive. Furthermore, if someone does not believe that habituation manifests desire, etc., and thinks that other causes should be investigated to call it sudden, then it temporarily becomes arbitrary. Without a cause, the clarity of desire, etc., does not arise. Why? Because causelessness contradicts arising. Moreover, it also has the faults of being permanent, etc. Some say that just as the nature of wind, bile, and phlegm, the nature of phlegm is desire, etc., the nature of bile is hatred, etc., and the nature of wind is ignorance, etc., so clarity can also manifest from clarity. But desire, etc., are not the nature of wind, etc. Why? Because it is an illusion. Because on each phlegm, etc., the clarity of desire, etc., is seen as an illusion. Thus, even if it is the nature of phlegm, desire, etc., are less; even if it is the nature of bile, hatred, etc., are not much; even if it is the nature of wind, ignorance, etc., are not obvious, so the qualities of the mind will be confused with each other. Whatever exists without existing, that cannot be its cause. The syllogism is: Whatever one is mistaken about, that is not its cause, just as one is mistaken about smoke arising from water. On each of the natures of phlegm, etc., the clarity of desire, etc., is an illusion, which is considered a contradictory pervasion. If it is said that it is due to the mixing of natures, there is no fault, that is possible. Even if one has the nature of phlegm, etc., but for someone who has the qualities of wisdom, etc., his is only phlegm, not...

Yes, because it depends on the qualities that determine its nature. However, if the nature of bile is also this cause, then because the nature is mixed, are those with qualities such as wisdom in a state of becoming the nature of bile? If that is the case, then how can that person's wisdom become a state of having the nature of bile? Other than that, the nature must become singular, and why do qualities such as dirt and bad fortune not appear in that invisible person with the qualities of bile? The meaning is that they do not appear. The reasoning is that whatever is the quality of a nature, when that quality exists, that changes. For example, qualities such as wisdom that have the nature of bile. Anger and so on are also qualities of the nature of bile, which is the reason for the nature. When the nature of bile increases, is it also just becoming that state, and are other qualities besides that desired? Because it does not change, it is not his wisdom that is connected to the nature of bile. If some qualities are not determined separately on one nature, however, whatever qualities of bile there are, those are also of phlegm and wind, and similarly, whatever is of wind and so on, those are also of bile, in that case, all phenomena are all. Whatever nature arises, the phenomenon of that is that, in that case, it will become of all natures, if it is thought like that. Then desire and so on are not all phenomena. Why? Because the desire of all persons is the same. When the phenomenon of any nature is that, how does one person's one nature become what kind of desire? In that case, the desire residing on the nature of other persons will also become like that, in that case, everything will become having the same desire, similarly, those with qualities such as hatred and ignorance and arrogance and pride and jealousy and stinginess and wisdom will also become the same, because the cause is the same.
