The holding between the re-application and use of water, etc., is called reaching perfection. By mentioning "etc.," other things of that kind, such as copper, etc., should also be understood. This indicates an example. Because love, etc., are born from habituation, and the qualities that arise do not depend on combination, and are stable supports, therefore those born qualities become nature, and even when they arise naturally without depending on effort, later effort arises from that. Later effort is special. From the previous efforts, the combination of later efforts, whatever it may be, does not make the later special perfection. Combination is a dharma of some stable support, and whatever arises as it is, and does not depend on effort, that is what goes to the very ultimate from habituation. For example, like the forms, etc., that arise from carving on trees, etc. The great compassion of people is also very habitual, and is a stable support, and especially for those who are born, it is like existing without depending on effort, this is called the reason of nature. Like that, having specialness, therefore it is an uncertain reason. Because love, etc., mind, is produced from the previous seeds of the same kind. For love, etc., whatever arises from the cause of the same kind and becomes special, connect the words like that. Because the previous seeds of the same kind depend on the proximate cause of habituation, if there is a collection of causes of love, etc., mind, it will be obtained, this is called the reason of nature. Like that, if love, etc., mind has habituation, from where does it exist? It is special, it means very increasing. This indicates the result of measure. Combination also, whatever and whatever is produced from the previous seeds of the same kind, those, if there is no nature of obstruction or obstacle of defects, are dharmas of very increasing, or not increasing with a definite limit, for example

Like tribulus and so on. Love and so on also grow from seeds of the same kind, which is called the reason of self-nature. With regard to the second point to be established, the opposite of pervasiveness is obvious. The explanation of such words as "thus" is that by refuting, it explains the absence of the flow of excellent growth such as jumping. Just as love and so on depend on the former, the latter love and so on will change. Similarly, non-jumping does not arise from jumping itself. Then what is it? It comes from the strength and effort of the body. These also have definite abilities. Because that is the cause of strength and effort, the definite ability of those, so the result jumping is the definite nature, not growth. If jumping comes from strength and effort, not from entering its own kind. Just like this, after getting used to it, how far a person jumps, why wouldn't it change before? That's a person. Initially, it was before getting used to it. Not jumping like later, because the body is not coordinated with wind and so on, because of the reason of heaviness. Later, if the incoordination is gradually eliminated by effort, the body is not heavy, then the body's own strength is certain. As long as it is to be traveled, it has already arrived, not more, in that case, there is no fault in saying "there is nothing further than this." If the merit of the mind has a place of habit, then it should be established that it exists in its own nature. Not all people associate love and so on with habit. Then what is it? Love is self produced from the seed. If affected by the discordant side, that is, the dharma that contradicts love and so on. What is it like? It is produced from its own seed. For whom there is a birth completely distinguished by his own seed, combine the words in this way. Those do not harm compassion, at that time, if repeatedly accustomed, the mind will obtain its own nature. Why does it change like that? Because the former and the front of such compassion and other habits are the root, that is, the cause. Whose attachment love

And other things like wisdom free from attachment, are other special things. The word "etc." also includes other qualities of the mind. What are things like love? They are mental dharmas. Among them, the earlier mental dharmas that have been cultivated through familiarity, without relying on effort, are not merely the cause of the arising of later love, etc., but are the root of removal, the cause of making the later ones superior, that is the meaning. Habituation is also, the special qualities previously obtained, without effort can enter, the state of mind that is in that state, whatever habituation, is also more superior than that, for example, like the special habituation of the mental dharma previously done. For love, others are also like that, obtaining special qualities, without effort can enter, the mental dharma in that state is habituation, this is the nature of reasoning. If that is the case, as it is said, the nature of love arising from habituation, is very willing to protect sentient beings from suffering, is the meaning of having attained the state of cause. What is it like? Detachment is like attachment and impurity. For example, just as the liberated ones, with regard to pleasure and pain, have attained the nature of detachment with the characteristics of aversion and non-aversion. For example, just as greed, etc., which are very familiar, enter naturally into greed, etc. For example, just as an impure thing with the characteristic of causing disgust, enters naturally into the habituated one, love also changes from habituation into a state of entering naturally. Starting from "cultivating compassion" to "detachment is like attachment and impurity," this part speaks of wanting to benefit sentient beings. Having love, etc., will explain the display, that is, having love, love that is in the state of cause, Bodhisattvas are saddened by the suffering of other sentient beings, because of cultivating love, in order to pacify the suffering of those sentient beings, they strive to eliminate their own suffering.
