That which is considered to be manifested as the difference of the subsequent stage is of the same nature as the undifferentiated, this is called the reason of self-nature. Even from a cause without sequence, it is unreasonable to say that the effect is sequential in dependence on becoming sequential. Since the essence of the reason for the transformation of the elements is without sequence, the transformations will not become sequential. The argument is that whatever is the cause of something without sequence is not produced sequentially, for example, the effect of one difference in the stage of transformation. Furthermore, the cause of the difference in other stages of transformation is also the nature of the elements, which is called the object of contradictory pervasion. Since not all the qualities of the cause follow the qualities of the effect, it is merely a verbal statement to say that a sequential effect arises from a non-sequential cause. Therefore, it is not said that the effect follows all phenomena, but for the time being, it is not to be done that all effects follow causes and non-causes. If it is not so, it is beyond the scope of the effect and will not become the effect itself. Since it is not so, therefore, if the cause of the mind, the body, etc., is already the ability itself, then at that time, the state arising from the unobstructed cause, etc., must be able to be clearly recognized. The argument is that whenever something is the case, all the abilities of the cause are close, it changes at that time, for example, the sprout is close to all the abilities of the cause. Because of the desire to have a sequential state of arising, the difference in the stage of transformation, as well as the consciousness of the mind, etc., were already close to all the abilities of the cause, which is called the reason of self-nature. If there is a non-ability in it, but the effect does not change, then it will not become its effect itself. The argument is that whatever has all non-abilities but does not change, that is not its effect.

It is not so. For example, a cow is like a horse. Even if all the potential of the cause of the nature that arises later exists previously, it is not universally applicable to say that the results such as consciousness that arise later will not change. It is also not the case that one exhalation or inhalation can clearly manifest one mind. In that case, even during one exhalation, because multiple things are not grasped, multiple minds will arise and disappear. Exhalation and inhalation and the certainty that comes from them exist. If it changes like that, then there are not many sequential minds at that time, but if it is said that such a sequential agent (referring to the mind) is one, then even if it is admitted that one mind can understand multiple things, all the actions of the mind change simultaneously, not sequentially. In that case, because there is no contradiction, just as the reason for one is the mind, so the subsequent one is also for the same reason, it will act simultaneously. If it is not so, it will not act sequentially either. Because there is no difference to this. Because the previous nature has no difference, it is certain. As mentioned earlier, one exhalation is not the cause of multiple consciousnesses, however, if many moments of self-nature darkness arise, when there is one exhalation, it is not the other. Such things, sequentially arising many moments, when it is realized that such a mind is the cause of self-nature, then there is no sequential cause, how do exhalation and those sequential things change? The bodies of those exhalations are considered to be non-sequential causes. Therefore, if from non-sequential things, exhalation is not sequential, why will sequential consciousness arise from those things? In that case, this is not thinking at all. If, in order to cover up that fault, exhalation and so on are not considered to be the cause of the body. What is it then? Exhalation is the cause of the previous one.

If that is the case, it is also caused by previous similar things. If one thinks that breathing and so on are the cause, then the breathing that occurs in the womb and other places will not occur initially. Why? Because, like this, such a cause does not exist. As the cause of what is initially produced, there is no other similar breathing. This is what is meant to be expressed. Even if one admits and says that there is that cause, similar breathing will undoubtedly become many in the same instant. Why? Because it is a different object. Because it is associated with different objects. Breathing is something that has many limbs, like a group, etc., this is what is meant to be expressed. Therefore, something that has various objects is itself different. Anything that has various objects is not singular, like many sesame seeds. Each moment of breathing has various objects, which is a nature inference. Therefore, if each limb of breathing has various abilities, then, therefore, wisdom arises simultaneously. Because what appears is diverse. If many breaths exist simultaneously, and one mind is the cause, then many will not arise simultaneously. Because at that time, all are the ability of one consciousness. Even if one limb of breathing is incomplete, consciousness will not change. For what? For things that arise slowly, etc. By mentioning "etc.", one can understand things that have interrupted breathing and things that do not have breathing. The limbs of breathing and the minute particles of the body, these should be said to be different ways of connecting to one consciousness as the result. For example, even if the result of many eyes, etc., is the same, the self experienced from the attention of consciousness, and the things that appear from the object, and the determination of each object from the root, are like this. If it is not like this, if only one connection is made, then the others will become meaningless. Even if the connection itself exists, it should be helpful.
