At that time, destruction transforms into the very nature of things. If that is the case, then this destruction has no harm, and the phrase "this has no harm" is used to modify it. If the nature of things cannot be changed, then nature itself will be destroyed. When changing form, also because it maintains itself, the self that has the nature of destruction will be destroyed, and if it produces others, then how does it maintain itself? Even if it is not other than its own nature. If that is the nature of having destruction, because there is no maintaining, then what is the reason for maintaining? This is the conclusion drawn by examining the inability. If it is like the support of water, etc., then if it changes like that, water, etc., which has the nature of existence, is the supported, and containers, etc., are the names of the support. For example, the objects of support and supported here are the same, will they become the objects of support here as well? For this, also the same, for this, what is it that containers, etc., appear as support, what is support? Everything that was said before should be repeated here as well. If the names of support and supported, how can they be shown? Because it maintains, containers, etc., are not the support. Then what is it? Things are destroyed by their very nature in every moment. If things that have the nature of arising in other places are destroyed in every moment, then the continuum of things arises in similar places, and containers, etc., are the cause of arising, because there is such a reason. Containers, etc., are the support. If it is not like this, it is not reasonable. If it is like that, the cause of continuous arising is not considered as the support. Then what is it? If it is considered as the cause of maintaining, then it cannot be the support. Furthermore, it has the nature of self-motion. Because it prevents flow. Although containers, etc., are the support of water, etc., what support is needed for qualities, etc., and actions, etc., which have no moving nature and no moving nature? By what can it be thought that those are the supported? The refutation of the objects of support and supported just mentioned is like this.

For those who are not contradictory establishers, the nature of things that are the basis and the based is a compatible collection; and the cause is the collection of compatible collections such as self and harmony. 'This exists in this, but not in that,' this is the distinction of kinds and so on. The word 'etc.' refers to the fact that this dharma exists on this dharma-possessor, and that mind exists relying on the elements, or that form, which is transformed from the elements, etc., whatever is said to exist slightly from the point of view of the basis, all that should be understood as needing to be examined. Why? Because there is no basis. Because it is not allowed for something to be the basis of something. These expressions are because of the point of view of the basis, and nothing exists relying on anything. The word 'if' etc., summarizes and shows what has already been said. If things are destroyed by others, then, when the cause of destruction approaches, the thing itself is destroyed accordingly, in that case, what is the use of the abiding cause that does not work at all? Even if things are destroyed without others, if there is no approaching cause of destruction, the thing itself is the nature of destruction, in that case, the abiding causes become powerless. When you want to make it exist in order to make it exist, even if there are factors that make it exist, since its nature has not changed, it will itself be destroyed, in that case, the abiding causes become powerless, what is the use of the abiding causes? Furthermore, some things are called having a basis, that is to say, all things that have a dwelling place and have arising, all things that have arising are considered to be completely having a basis. Therefore, temporarily relying on my happiness, etc., those permanent dharmas that are the basis, since they are inseparable from permanence, are themselves indestructible. If impermanence itself is the basis, then its other and its other are not, in that case, until the permanent subtle dharmas are the basis, therefore it will become permanent. Because the arising dharmas such as mind also exist because the nature of the elements is indestructible, in that case, it will not
