Because of this. When the treatise itself is a valid means of knowledge, then this, which is made by the desire of a person, its validity is completely perfect. Because the desire of a person itself is not dependent on things, therefore, thinking that it is not valid by relying on its power, this is a mockery. Because it abides like this: the treatise is not a harm. Therefore, for the well-known meanings of direct perception and inference, when judging the subject and the sign, even if the treatise is abandoned, when judging the treatise as a sign, even if the treatise is abandoned, there is no fault in not relying on the treatise. Because there is no obstacle to achieving the desired meaning. Very hidden. When judging the subject indicated by the scriptures, etc., one must rely on the scriptures without fail. If it is not like that, then when the scriptures are not accepted, the desire for the subject of greed, etc., which is established by it, will not enter, and in that way, the judgment itself will not enter. If the treatise is not a valid means of knowledge, then the subject or sign indicated by it is also not the basis for true realization, so how can it be judged by it? It is true, but most of the observations on this treatise are just contradictory statements, not true. For example, greed, etc., are not Dharma, and eradicating bathing is also not Dharma, it is harmful, this is contradictory. It is said that greed, etc., are the cause of purifying sins in the treatise. If it does not cause harm to the cause, it does not cause harm to the effect. Therefore, bathing, chanting, and fire offerings, etc., will not cause harm to greed, etc. If it does not cause harm to the cause, then it does not cause harm to it. For example, for the sweet, cool, and greasy substances of bacon. Whatever causes harm to the cause is what is removed from those. For example, through the differences of discipline, meditation, and wisdom, bad deeds, afflictions, and the place of latent tendencies.

At those times, harm is done in order. Therefore, because harm is done to this cause, in order to completely sever things with causes. Establishing desire, hatred, and ignorance as the very cause of evil, the statement that sins are purified by bathing and so on is contradictory. If it is said that for things that do not become valid, the re-analysis of stating most contradictions is also shown, then here, for example, a person who wants to enter cannot establish reliance on the measure of scripture, because great benefits can be obtained from entering into generosity and other minds, and great suffering can be obtained from harmful and other minds, so it will be shown. Therefore, the treatise should be upheld. What is the harmer of the treatise? It is what is established by reason, that is, the object of direct perception and inference. What is harmless with one's own words? Even the unseen, that is, the extremely hidden, because that is what should be upheld. To this, there will be an analysis of prior and subsequent contradictions. Now, if that is the case, then if the treatise is able to completely cut off the object to be analyzed, or it will cause harm to others, then it should be abandoned. The nature of contradicting the treatise and one's own words has been explained. Now it will be explained with "contradicting fame, in meaning" and so on. The word of desire is the indicator. If asked what kind of thing it is, it is related to the desire of a person. Precisely for that reason, in meaning, the word of desire is the indicator, so there is no prohibition. Therefore, whatever follows the desire of a person is universally present. Merely following the desire of a person, and the word of desire is the indicator, this cannot be prohibited. Because there is no prohibition, therefore here, for the meaning of fame arising from words, the harmless words are: words with an object that expresses one's own desire, are not prohibited, and are trustworthy people, that is its meaning. For example, the Dharma that arises from the name of words such as "moon, moon," the teacher has shown with the Dharma that arises from that name, with extreme fame. For example, fame arising from words and so on.
