Having abandoned what was promised, during the debate, even the debater who relies on other treatises with his own intention is not contradictory, like that. If this treatise is an expression of one's own words with the meaning of entering, even then it is not necessary. Like that, if there is doubt that the debater who holds the treatise with intention cannot obtain it, then this is not reasonable. Like that, where does the doubt come from? Because with what intention did you use your own words for the meaning of entering the treatise? Regarding this, if the debater here holds the treatise with his own intention, is the valid cognition harmless or will it not be harmful? Regarding that, if the debater is harmless to it by valid cognition, then at that time, what can prevent holding other treatises? For example, like the conceptualizations of abiding in the openly intended side and so on. If the valid cognition is harmful, it is the treatise that promises the openly intended, if that is the case, then, from what does the word enter? Because one's own words also define, the debater cannot enter the treatise that promises the openly intended, that is its meaning. Furthermore, those previous debaters, the tenet is held slightly by one's own intention, that is to be held. How did you hold it with intention before, like that, with intention also some kinds, abandoning the previous ones, why can't other established tenets be held? It is not possible to obtain it. Like that, because intention meets with obtaining meaning, it is unreasonable to say oneself. If it is unreasonable to strive for what is obtained by intention, then, what the debater intends to establish is also established by fully accepting it with intention. If the teacher will not say himself for that meaning, that is not the case. Why? Because of seeing the reversed cognition. Because of the cause, the reversed cognitions are seen, for example, like the intention of the treatise author is established. In order to eliminate those reversed cognitions, the word 'oneself' is used here for the definition of the subject. Eliminating the qualities of space, etc.,

For example, the heat of fire and so on, which have no intention or harm, and the qualities of space and so on, which are inappropriate, are not to be proven. If the qualities of space and so on are harmful to other things, then do you admit that impermanence and so on, which are unrelated, cause harm to other things? If so, the master's words would be an endless discourse. The distinctions made by reasoning are as follows: having completely abandoned the subject of debate, for the sake of grasping those subjects of debate that are widely known among cowherdesses, others say it is the sound of "self-nature." If it is said that the word "self-nature" is used to completely grasp only the subject of debate that is to be proven, which is separate from the characteristics of the qualities of space and so on, then it is not correct to abandon the subject of debate with the characteristics made by reasoning, and to explain the sound with "self-nature" in order to completely grasp the widely known subject of debate. Because, for the subject of debate that combines the sound of "self-nature," whether or not someone mentions it slightly, it will not be prevented. Therefore, for things that have the characteristics of examining one's own tenets, because there is no dispute, because there is no reason for dispute, no one will write about examining the characteristics of the unestablished subject of debate that is combined with words. However, in general, writing about examining the characteristics of the established nature of the subject of debate will occur, because this is the occasion for examination, because this is the reason. If the widely known basis is the subject of debate, then the subject of debate will be established. If so, it is not reasonable to combine the sound of "self-nature" in order to completely grasp it, because the general nature of the subject of debate is established by relying solely on distinguishing the characteristics. If the sound of "self-nature" is used to completely abandon the unestablished subject of debate, thereby completely grasping the widely known subject of debate, then, with the sound of "famous," that is, with widely known words, through the sound of "self-nature," the subject of debate that was previously established by other valid cognitions, the characteristic of the dharma to be proven is itself what needs to be proven, not the dharma itself, because the dharma has already been established. Therefore, if it is said that "the subject of debate is not what needs to be proven," then even so, it has the same meaning.
