Now, if this is the occasion for the subject, like the qualities of space, etc., this is the occasion for the term 'subject,' because there it is vowed to be impermanent. Therefore, that fault is because it is the opposite of that, not the qualities of earth, because that is not the occasion for its subject. If you say that, that is not an answer, because if it is the occasion set by the opponent, relying on the subject, it is not a statement of fault in refuting the qualities of space, and how can it not affect the refutation of the qualities of earth? What is it then? It is the occasion for accomplishing the meaning of the treatise. If it is not so, because it is set by the opponent, then the dharma to be established, such as impermanence, etc., will also depend on the occasion. Therefore, if it is not the occasion for the subject, then, if a dharma famous on the subject contradicts some other dharma, it is that contradiction because it contradicts what is to be established, that is its meaning. The subject, dharma, etc., are the means of proof, if the opponent's intention changes the words, if some opponents also want to establish the difference of the subject as what is to be established, for example, whatever is the difference of the subject, that is what is to be established, because the subject is the nature of dharma, just like the dharma to be established. Mentioning 'etc.,' whatever is a difference of one aspect of the generality of what is to be established, the opponent wants to establish that as what is to be established, for example, the dharma to be established. If it is also a difference of dharma in the same way, like this, the subject, dharma, etc., the means of proof, will not accomplish the opponent's intention, if it is the opposite, because it is not a valid means with harm, there is no difference, it will become an inference with remainder. Furthermore, some situations will change the intention, it is the opponent's intention. That is also the intention. Through those appropriate occasions, it is understood, through the ability to become the cause, the intention is understood. It is by the power of your intention. Saying 'is,' etc., is not the object of obvious intention, for someone who says something else, there is not even a little reason, this is the concluding remark.

It was made by the glorious lords and others. Furthermore, it is said that it is not characterized by a result. The opponent's intention to argue in that way will be harmed by error. Because this does not have the characteristic of a result, the words are combined in this way. If it becomes a result, it will become the accomplishment of the intention, and that is not the intention, so that is an error. Furthermore, if the thing to be proven itself is desired, and there is no dharma to be proven, then it will harm what is not non-arising, and at that time, it will also harm the meaning of what is not non-arising. What harm will there be to the dharma to be proven that is appropriate? Not even a little. If it harms what does not become non-arising, then that is not harm. If it is not non-arising, then if it harms the view of the scriptures, the opponent's desired thing to be proven has no harm at all, because it is established. In that way, for one's own field of activity, that is, for what one wants to prove, it is said that entering by the power of inference of things does not depend on the scriptures. The thing established by that inference, even a little, is well established, and cannot be changed into another form. At that time, there is no view of the scriptures. It is said to be harm or non-existence, because that scripture has not been heard. It will change in that way, but if there is a dispute, it will change at that time. If it is a dispute after acknowledging the scriptures, then that will harm it, and the opponent's dispute will be abandoned, so will his acknowledgment be lost? At that time, when examining with inference entering by the power of things, that fault is not, because it is not acknowledged, because the scriptures are not acknowledged. Acknowledgment is also because it is not possible to examine. Acknowledgment is not lost. If you acknowledge in that way, that is, if you acknowledge. This examination is a means, so first examine and then acknowledge. In that way, acknowledgment at the time of examination. Even if it exists at that time, it is not a limb. Even if it exists at the time of examination, the acknowledgment of the meaning of the scriptures is not a limb. Why? Like this, direct perception and so on are three objects, among which direct perception and so on
