At that time, if it itself is not with प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure, प्रमाण, pramāṇa, measurement), then it is not graspable. Therefore, the absence of mind itself, which is established by it, is not established. If the direct perception born from yoga ascertains the absence of mind, and that cannot be done in other ways, then it should be shown to others in some way. To this, the arising of the direct perception of knowledge as an indicator is not sudden. Then what is it? It is that some establishers know "this can establish this," and then strive to do it, and from the striving arises direct perception. And before that, any indicator who is an establisher is ordinary, that is, becoming the establishment that can see this shore and arising from the senses, striving to do it, and the establishment produced by the establisher who produces direct perception, those that should be shown are the ability to understand the meaning, and what should be established, that "from this will become this," and the ability to understand the ability of the establisher. Since this is so, why doesn't it show it? Just as we have said before, for the hidden liberation, for example, ignorance and craving, etc., and showing the connection of birth, and also saying those who harm them, that is, contemplating emptiness. There is no other connection between the harmer and the harmed, but rather the harmer of it, that is, being accustomed to contemplating emptiness, and becoming its nature, is related to the things of cause and effect, therefore, liberation arises from the power of things. Similarly, here too, by showing that direct perception, and its establishers, what should be established, and the things of the establisher, then there will be such a direct perception, through which, for what should be shown, the absence of mind will be established. If it is not so, the indicator itself will not know this meaning, however, because I am indicating it that way, it will become speculation with preconceived notions, therefore, the absence of mind becomes ungraspable. Although it will be like that, but together with some people, that direct perception should be established, and the things of the establisher exist.
