The mental activity of knowing becomes a sign. If the number is completely fixed to be only this much, why aren't self and mental activity, etc.? Thus, if there are other related things in this collection of cause and effect, such as the mind's causal power, or what is visible, such as the sense faculties, objects, and mental activity. If that's the case, even if there is the power of other appearances, etc., it is seen that there is no consciousness without either the eye or the form. Similarly, for wisdom such as reality, just as it is, the power of the cause that reverses the self-awareness result is visible in the sense faculties and objects. Even if there are eyes, etc., because the previous consciousness is distracted to other objects, and in states such as being obstructed, sleeping, being mad, and fainting, it is seen that the latter does not arise and is confused, etc., therefore the previous consciousness is a visible power. The eyes, etc., are a collection of results. This is not to say that there is no self, mind contact, etc., related to the cause and effect things. Why is that? Because there is no visible power. If, as said, the nearby cause exists, but the mind does not arise, then there will be another capable one. If that is not the case, if it is thought that even one without visible power is its cause, then the causes will become endless. Among the signs mentioned above, for the time being, that is not a sense faculty, not a sign of the mind. Why? Because of delusion. When the sense faculty exists, there is no mind, because there is no mind in states such as sleep, fainting, and distraction. Its difference, such as being without obscuration, etc., is also not, because it cannot be known, therefore this is also not a sign. If, when entering an object, the difference of the sense faculty, such as not being obscured, etc., is self-born realization, then what is that other wisdom, etc.? That is also not established, therefore the sense faculty is not a sign. Similarly, the object is not a sign, because it is the cause of delusion. When anything exists, the object does not exist. If that is not the case, the mind will arise merely because the object exists, then

If all things exist, then for all people and all times, all wisdom will be inferable. Wisdom and ideation themselves are knowledge. If it is the essence of knowledge, then seeking the cause of this knowledge is not found, and thus it will not be established, because knowledge itself has no sign. In that case, all signs depend on their own knowledge to become the cause of understanding signs, but wisdom and ideation do not have these, so they themselves are not signs. Even if it changes like this, if you want things to be clear, then things are not signs. Then what is it? If it is said that things make it clear, then what is it that things make clear? If it is the object of focus, then is this clarity not knowledge? If this can be established, then which thing do you consider to be a sign for other wisdom that has not been established? Whenever that is, it will not work. Things are the clear manifestation of things. The idea that the manifestation of things is a sign, and not just the thing itself, should also be understood as a negation of the manifestation of things. In that case, if the thing that is a characteristic of manifestation is also not established, then from which particular thing can wisdom be established? Therefore, the manifestation of things is not experience, nor is it direct perception, because it is uncertain. If it is uncertain that the manifestation is the manifestation of things, then what will the so-called manifestation of manifestation become a sign of if it is not a manifestation on things? If the manifestation of things is not manifested by wisdom or understanding of things, then why does the fault of the non-establishment of wisdom arise? Then what is it? If you want certain particularities of things, that is, the manifestation that becomes the self-nature, then this is also not possible. Why? Like this: There is not the slightest difference in meaning between things that are born and those that are imperishable. External things are solid, neither born nor destroyed, so on what kind of appearance does this particularity of being unmoving and unborn exist? If you want to establish the manifestation that is to be grasped by some knowledge, even so, if you think that things are born and destroyed, then
