of its essence. It is not the case that it becomes the self-nature of other things and is recognized. If it is said, "This is what is experienced without being eaten by demons," then the cause for applying such terms to them should be explained. It is also not true to say that "experiencing objects is accomplished through similarity to things." As it is said: Even from similarity, there is experience, which was previously thoroughly refuted. For example, the similarity of experience is not a cause. All similarities are mutual. Experiences are obtained. Such statements have already been abandoned. Furthermore, if those sights are present from similarity, then similarity will be apprehended, thinking, "This is similar to this." This person previously did not see the object when seeing white and so on. Even when seeing white and so on, the object is momentary and has already ceased. Since neither is seen, no object is seen. How can this be through seeing? That person must ascertain the similarity of the object. Because it holds the knowledge of its form, seeing the object is established. If it is asked: Similarity has become the self-nature, and it is also self-cognizant separately, so it is not accomplished by experiencing the self-nature. Refuting the opponent who does not want the similarity of consciousness: Neither of those two is seen. It is not the accomplishment of the object, nor is it consciousness. Thus, it is not the case that the sight of this object becomes from similarity. In that case, by what is the object recognized? Consciousness does not experience itself, nor does it experience anything else, because it is not allowed. Therefore, neither consciousness nor the knowable is accomplished. When it is like that, at that time, this object or this consciousness, those two, namely the object of knowledge and consciousness, those How does consciousness exist? If speech is reversed, then all beings will become blind and deaf. Thus, the fault of experience being of another nature has been explained. If the nature of the appearance of white and so on is clearly experienced as appearing, then it becomes the self-nature of the knowledge of white and so on. At that time, or the object of white and so on,

It has been said. Oneself becomes completely manifest. It is the nature of self-awareness, because when experiencing white and so on, there is no second experience. Furthermore, if the white and so on that appear from somewhere do not appear, then the appearance of white and so on, if the meaning of white and so on does not appear, one also wants it to appear. Therefore, the appearance that becomes the object of grasping is the one that causes appearance, and in this way, self-awareness is established. Therefore, for the aspect of non-cognition, it is the aspect of non-cognition. For the aspect that is not the experience of knowledge, whatever is said to not see all things, with this not seeing all things, for the aspect of non-cognition, it is also answered. For example, if their wisdom is not direct perception, then things or knowledge, those words of knowledge will be reversed, just like this is said. What are those? It is the one who says that wisdom is not direct perception, that is, the king's inference. Commentary on the Tshad ma rnam 'grel, Volume Thirty-Four. Furthermore, this also establishes direct perception, just like this. Relying on the difference of the support, object, and habituation, from the difference of the support of the eyes and so on, and the difference similar to things, happiness and so on, and the difference of habituation, that is, the difference of the previous capable mental activity. Becoming a different object, with the aspects of true joy and so on. The difference of happiness, suffering, desire, and so on, the difference of joy and suffering, the nature of desire and so on, each arises as the nature of cognition. In this way, when arising from the difference of support and so on, happiness and so on themselves appear from within, and those are also established as the nature of the previously perceived object, and in this way, those are wisdom, because it is the nature of awakening, this is the meaning to be expressed. Those that appear in that way are also direct perception. By saying "and so on," it includes hatred and effort and so on. From that different joy and unpleasantness and so on, the aspect is separated from the object. Other than experiencing those, any slightly uncertain knowledge, one understands that it is not direct perception. Happiness and so on, with its own nature, those themselves experience
