It is so. That is, when experiencing its own nature, it is the meaning of being called true experience. What is it? There is no dispute. For example, it is like saying that knowledge is not the nature of knowledge. However, some people think that knowledge has both aspects and no aspects. If the meaning of that knowledge is established as its own nature, then the nature of the object will also be established. From where does it come? It is called recollection, after a previous knowledge has established two ways with the difference of the possessor of the aspect of holding the object in its own nature. Now, in order to observe the nature of the knowledges as mutually different, it should be established from recollection. Therefore, it is said that after experiencing, just like the object, recollection will arise again from knowledge. Just as those who experience colors, etc., separated from each other, will have memories of mutual isolation, so too will memories of mutual difference arise for knowledge. Therefore, there is knowledge of the second way. From where does that come? Just like this, temporarily transformed by objects as they are in their own nature, those knowledges are considered to be different. If it were not so, then in the nature of experience, there would be no difference for each thing. Self-using object. One's own object has no function, but it experiences it as different. Even if there is knowledge. It is like that, but it is not like that. It is my knowledge of color, but not the knowledge of sound, or others. If this is different, then it will not be remembered as different. In that case, knowledge is only experience for everything, without difference. Only experience. If it is thought that knowledge has no difference, then apart from being similar to things, some other differences, such as roots, etc. If there is no mutual distinction between the knowledges, then by what will they be remembered as different? Although it will change like that, just as in the nature of manifest desire, etc., through the difference of similarity, etc., the difference of happiness, etc. is seen, so for each object, there is another collection, and other subtle differences. Therefore, will it be established to remember as different?

That is not so. In this way, the special feeling experienced is the cause of recollection. If it is not anything, then for a single object that can be relied upon, when any continuously arising knowledge enters, there are also other things of the collection such as the senses. Even so, it is not remembering different things. For example, it is like saying, "This is just the past moment of consciousness." Therefore, for things with different manifestations, consciousness will not become remembering different things. What is that like? Like twins, etc. Even if twins have similar appearances, there are indeed differences in reality. Even so, since that is not obvious, it cannot be recognized as different. However, when they are viewed in different ways, it is like attaching labels to each other. Therefore, continuously arising knowledge is knowledge with a single object. Although there is no recognition of difference, when seeing other objects such as the senses in that state, changes occur. If someone thinks that recognition is possible because there are some things that help the experience done by things, then since that is no different from establishing one's own essence, knowledge will become the same as things. If that is not the case, then knowledge that arises from objects, etc., and has no difference in essence, is merely experience and will not be recognized as different. Since changes occur, there exists form knowledge that is transformed by the form of the object. Therefore, the two modes of knowledge are established. Therefore, by proving the two modes through the characteristics of the knowledge of essence, etc., just mentioned, it should also be known that most self-cognition can be established. Therefore, it was said that self-cognition itself should be proven. If the knowledge of self-cognition can be established by proving the two modes in some way, then why is the word "most" used? That is not so, because that is another meaning. The two modes of knowledge have already become the essence that is the same as things, and that is also an experience. Therefore, the experience of the essence of things has been established, not directly.
