Just as they appear different, but in reality, they are not like that. If the essence is without parts, then how can it appear in other forms? This fault does not exist. For example, just as when disturbed by mantras, etc., for the senses, lumps of clay, etc., even if they are separated from their form, just as they appear, even if it is not their nature, they will appear in other forms, such as elephants, etc. By mentioning "etc.," it includes the power of yoga and union, etc. If it is said that the power of mantras, etc., will make it become that nature, that is not so. For example, just as seen by unbewildered eyes, people who have not manifested the power of the eyes of illusion, etc., even if they are close to that place and time, will not see lumps of clay, etc., as having the nature of elephants, etc. Because there is no attachment. For example, in distant sorrow, just as it appears small or large. For example, in sorrow, due to the differences in shape, etc., existing in that place and time, things located far away will appear small or large. Because that is the reason, therefore, in the ultimate truth, this, the measurable, the result of measurement exists, even if it does not exist, but for the types of object and subject, how it appears as the object itself, that is the object to be measured, what appears as the aspect of the subject is the measure, and what is personally experienced is the result, just as it appears subsequently, this is said. Just as it appears, but in reality it is not so, this is the conclusion. If it is not like that, if it is thought that this difference is the appearance of arising, then for one thing, for the nature of mind that is not with parts, what is it like? It is one that has the appearance of various natures, the various natures are also those, and the appearances are also those, to where does it exist, thus connecting the words. On that one, how can the various forms become true? It will not be like that. Why? Because that one itself will disappear. The nature of mind, that one's oneness will disappear. That

Therefore, whatever manifestation of the difference of existence is diverse. For example, happiness and suffering, and so on. Therefore, it is thought that these phenomena do not exist. This is the commentary on the Pramāṇavārttika, the thirty-second volume. Happiness, etc., because in others, the experience of others themselves disappears. It should not be thought that these phenomena exist. Therefore, it can be said that depending on the phenomenon of the difference of existence, happiness, etc., are themselves mutually diverse. When it is admitted that even the manifestation of the difference of existence is only one mind, if the phenomenon of the difference of existence is not the cause of diversity, then the mutual diversity of happiness, etc., will change, it will not not change. If the diverse nature of the mind and the single nature change, then, because there is no actual seeing, it is different. It is also unreasonable to think that it is the same itself, because there is no reason to see the single nature with such a phenomenon. If seen in a non-differentiated nature, then it will become non-differentiated. If that is also non-existent, then from where can the mind with a single nature be manifested? It itself is the only one. Therefore, if the mind and things are seen to be non-different, then it will surely be determined to be non-different. If some minds are seen to be non-different, then it will surely be determined to be the only one. But this is not the case, because the nature will be seen to be non-different. Because the definition of one and many cannot be established in any way, therefore, in what way can things be analyzed? If its nature is ultimately itself, then it is non-existent. Because among them, there is no nature of one and many. If things appear as one and many, then one itself and many themselves are non-existent, then in what way can they be analyzed? Even if it has become indivisible, is it not because it is mistaken for being divisible that it appears? This is also the illusion of worldly people, not without reason. So what is it? From seeing the similar Dharma nature, clinging to oneself as oneself, for example, mirages, etc., for things that are not the nature of water,
