In order not to become like that, when it is thought that the consciousness with the state of appearing in time sequence, which is the same as the object, has become the valid cognition and the result of valid cognition, like this, even if it is one meaning, but if it is thought that two meaningless things are the authors that appeared earlier, because it is the nature of cognition, so that itself is the valid cognition and the result, in that case, in order to enter the meaning of completing the action, what is the use of examining the second result? In addition, if that meaning is ability, then how does one consciousness arise? Similarly, other things with that cause will also arise simultaneously, because there is no difference. Therefore, those consciousnesses cannot arise sequentially. If in order not to become that fault, one wants to generate those consciousnesses simultaneously, then when the idea of "consciousness arises simultaneously" appears, the word "consciousness" is used in consideration of the category. If two consciousnesses arise simultaneously, then they will have no object to be proven and no means of proof. The reason for saying that the result outside of the valid cognition is another meaning is the means of proof, and the result is considered to be the action. It has been previously explained that things with simultaneous cause and effect do not exist. If the simultaneous arising itself is not the cause and effect, therefore there is no object to be proven and no means of proof, then is it completely non-existent for a non-differential self-nature consciousness? For that question, that fault does not exist, just like for consciousness. That is based on the establishment of distinctions. Fragments of consciousness are established as what is to be proven and what is capable of proving. The establishment of distinctions in the cognition of objects is based on being the same as the meaning, like that, even if it is not the author, it is approximately established as the author, because it is not a thing like the external environment that is born and capable of being born. There is no fault. Coincidence is also not a valid cognition, why? Like this, is coincidence not entering into some aspects? Because of what, will the meaning recognize some aspects? Because of what, will it recognize all self-nature? In that case, even if it is the relationship of self-nature, it will recognize some things.

If contact itself is a valid cognition, then it cannot be determined to be unchanging, it has the characteristic of holding several appearances. Why? Because there is no specific connection. Because there is no distinction in contact. Even if there is no distinction in contact, the distinction in understanding objects will change, because some objects are understood. At that time, contact is not a valid cognition. So what is a valid cognition itself? Even if it is not different, even if there is no distinction in contact, but from where it is not determined, knowing what is blue, and knowing what is yellow, this is knowledge. This difference is its valid cognition. Moreover, from the point of view of being similar to things, it is not other, this has been said many times. Although it changes in this way, if it is conditioned, born from knowledge, the cause of knowledge is conditioned, then for each thing, knowledge is sometimes different, if you say so, that is not right. Like this, it is not a thing because there is no basis. If on the appearance of this object, this knowledge arises following it, then at that time, the knowledge that follows the appearance of the object, from that similarity, it will be possible to determine that this is this. Therefore, if the arising of knowledge with such an appearance causes the conditioned to be determined, then from which conditioned will such knowledge necessarily arise? Like this, if there is no similarity with things, because knowledge has no power, the conditioned that produces it is also uncertain, so how can one distinguish different knowledge from this thing? Although it changes in this way, if the agent and the object are the same, then there will be contradiction, if you say so, because there is actually no difference, so in one part of knowledge, what is the action, it itself is the object, therefore this is contradictory, if you say so, that is not true, because the fifth (sentence) which admits different dharmas shows knowledge. If there is an admission of different dharmas, we think that there are no different objects of knowledge, in reality knowledge is one, that is the meaning. Here too, the admission of the two different dharmas, namely the self-nature of what is to be measured and the understanding of things, is approximately named by the difference of the opposite. Because different dharmas are admitted.
