If it is said that "even the wisdom of the final stage has a cause for arising," then this is the fault of contradictory pervasion. It is also not unestablished, because the mind arises first, and the karma has already manifested, as long as the dharmas of self and self-grasping exist, all those who engage without harm exist in the later arising, what later is there that is unestablished? If one asserts that the senses are dependent on consciousness, but consciousness is not dependent on them, then the established view that body and mind are mutually dependent will harm the inference. If you say so, it is not correct, because you do not understand my intention. If the body directly causes some change in the mind, then it is not said to be a basis. What is it then? The objects that depend on the body can provide help, or other things that harm or help the consciousness of the body, will harm or help the consciousness of the mind through the immediately preceding condition. Because consciousness is the proximate cause. Because the consciousness of the body can help the consciousness of the mind, the Blessed One said that the mind depends on the body. Only that much, the consciousness itself does not depend on the body. Therefore, when the consciousness of the senses changes through the object, the mind may change, but that does not mean that the mind depends on the senses. Whatever arises depending on something, directly follows that thing with help or harm, like the consciousness of the senses. Therefore, the wisdom of the mind does not depend on the body. If one thinks that without the senses there is no wisdom, therefore the senses must be the basis of wisdom, then, if the senses do not exist, wisdom will not exist. Similarly, if wisdom does not exist, the senses will not be seen. The senses are not only the cause of wisdom, but wisdom is also the cause of the senses. The way you propose to prove dependence, even so, has already been established in the previous taking of birth, because they are mutual causes. If it is not so, then either wisdom or the senses will decay.

It should not be entered into without a cause, because that would become a sudden event. Therefore, just as it was previously a mutual cause, because of the reason of being a mutual cause, similarly, later after death, the senses and consciousness will become mutual causes. If consciousness arises from the senses, and the senses arise from consciousness, without any deficiency, then it is continuous. Furthermore, when the body is the support of the mind and the senses, as well as the outgoing and incoming breaths, it is not possible for all the senses and consciousness, etc., to exist in a body that is not destroyed in every moment. Why? Because it is not sequential in this way. As it is said, it is not possible for the sequential, orderly arising result, the consciousness of the mind, to arise from the body. If that is the case, if the sequential consciousness of the mind arises from the sequence of the support or from the sequence of the object, then, for the time being, it is not from the sequence of the object, because it exists even without an object. In that way, a discriminating consciousness that does not depend on the proximity of the object will arise. The body with the senses becomes a stronger proximate cause, because others are not desired and not seen. If that is not sequential, if it exists in that way, then all the wisdom of the mind will enter simultaneously, therefore, it is not possible for sequential knowledge to exist from non-sequential things, because the nature of the sequential result is produced by the sequence of the cause. If it is not like that, then it will become causeless, and it will also become something else. If someone thinks that the permanent is something that acts sequentially, then, even if it depends on something that acts simultaneously, and acts in a way that changes sequentially, then, even if the result arises sequentially, it is not the view of this opponent, because he does not want to depend on other things. Without change, there is no difference. It does not depend on this body itself. Therefore, how sequential
