To clarify this, if it is said that it can be established through inference, etc., then that itself is a doubt. Therefore, whatever conceptualization is dependent on signs, and whatever conceptualizations attribute meaning to other things, those are conceptualizations that are dependent on signs and attribute meaning to other things. Those that become close to direct perception, because sometimes the time of the arising of subtle knowledge cannot be distinguished, therefore those that cannot be clearly expressed become the reason for mistaking them for direct perception. Why? Because they are close to direct perception. They are closer than the knowledge of direct perception. Therefore, since error is possible, it must be clearly understood that they are different from direct perception. It is precisely to fully prove that they are not direct perception. Later conceptualization, how does it become something with hidden meaning? This conceptualization, which has the nature of memory, etc., with an object, is essentially inference, etc., because it itself has the nature of depending on signs. Therefore, it does not grasp meaning. What kind of meaning does it not grasp? Direct perception, therefore it is not a valid means of direct perception. Like this, without experiential memory, even for things like a vase, etc., for which there is no memory of previously experienced signs, there is no knowledge. Without the memory of previous experience, a person will not have knowledge of a vase, etc., numbers, lifting, existence itself, the vase itself, eyes, etc. As said before, these two kinds of conceptualization also do not exist, that is its meaning. If the understander also knows that sign memory is the cause of knowledge of a vase, etc., then he will know and understand sign memory. Moreover, for things like a vase, etc., it completely disappears from direct perception. It is not reasonable to be connected with the knowledge of direct perception, because that kind of knowledge itself is not direct perception. Moreover, anything that arises from the power of experiential memory is not direct perception, for example, something that arises from memory, something that arises from inference, something that arises from speech, etc. Vase

And so on, the consciousness of conceptualization, and the consciousness of conceptualization of water and so on, also arise from the power of memory of previous experiences, which is called the object of contradictory pervasion. If that is the case, then these three types of conceptual consciousness should be clearly understood in meaning by the words of definition. Here, the fourth is, for these four types of apparent perception, the four types of apparent perception, the apparent perception with blurred vision. What is said, "the apparent perception with blurred vision," should be understood as being particularly distinguished, or as a remaining definition, not as a clear example of the meaning from the words of definition. If that is the case, just as one enters after the conceptualization of water and so on, and so on. Just as showing that the consciousness of mirages and so on is the cause of conceptualization, this will also be shown. Like this, after completely completing the conceptualization, without explaining the cause of this conceptualization, it is said, "with blurred vision." Therefore, it should be known that it shows the apparent perception that is free from conceptualization. If it is not like that, it will become a definition with errors. Therefore, the words of distinction, it says that it arises from near harm. All consciousnesses that arise from factors that harm the senses, which are harmed by external and internal factors, even if they are free from conceptualization, are called apparent perception. Among them, only blurred vision is what represents near harm. Among them, the blurred vision of the words with blurred vision should be regarded as the near harm represented by all the factors that harm the senses. There are also some who think that the consciousness of double moons and so on is not produced from the senses, but only from the mind. Those who say that, blue and double moons and so on are mind, the senses are the cause, this treatise and those are contradictory. When the teacher explains in order to establish the debate, when analyzing the meaning of the object in perception, like this, from what appearance does consciousness arise, is that called the object? Or, how things exist but appear as other, becoming the cause of consciousness, after making this distinction, even up to the eyes and so on are also objects.
