If there is no contradiction in its own nature, even if external happiness and so on are not excellent, but whatever is excellent and has happiness and so on as its object, then the mind, like sound and so on, is only the nature of happiness and so on. For this reason, even if external happiness and so on are not excellent, there is no contradiction in joy and suffering becoming excellent, if so, how should we understand the nature of that external and happiness and so on? When the nature of happiness and so on of the mind accomplishes the excellence of joy and complete suffering, then for others who hold sound and so on, the very arising from the mind will also become happiness. At that time, the nature of the experience that appears internally, all sentient beings have, and the other external happiness and so on that is opposite to this, does not exist, that is its meaning. Although it will change like this, but if the kinds are different, the grasper and the grasped themselves are not, if sound and so on do not become the nature of happiness and so on, then from the holding of the nature of happiness and so on, those kinds are not the same, then it will not become the grasped. If the kinds are not the same, they will not become the grasper and the grasped, because sound and so on become the grasped, will they become the nature of happiness and so on? If different kinds are not the grasped or the grasper, then all individuals will become without holding. In that way, the individual is not the nature of happiness and so on, because there is no merit in this. Because it is not the grasper, therefore, the enjoyer of this individual will disappear. Only holding happiness and so on, other than that, this individual has no other enjoyer. If it does not exist only because the kinds are different, then it will become very profound. This refutes cause and effect. Whatever objects and minds of different kinds do not have the things of cause and effect, if this also exists, the object will also become the nature of happiness and so on, saying this is also refuted, because in this way the mind will become the cause of establishing the self-appearance of the object, that is

If it is said that it also exists in that (consciousness), then it is uncertain. If it is not so, if it is not distinguished from it, then it will be inferred as before that 'the eater will not change' which is a fault. Or it is not cause and effect, but wisdom and happiness. Why? Because there is no object and subject. If it becomes cause and effect because there is object and subject, then wisdom and happiness etc. do not exist either. From where? If they exist, then it will also become something else. If wisdom and happiness have object and subject, therefore they themselves are cause and effect, then, the person also has object and subject, so it will become cause and effect. In this way, different kinds of things will also become so-called entities of cause and effect. Because of this, even if there is no difference in the external world, due to habit and following, it has excellent happiness etc., therefore, it should be understood that happiness etc. are internal. This also proves that: because it is experience, it is mind. Happiness etc. are mind, because it is experience. If you ask why it is mind because it is experience? Like this: Whatever is not the nature of experience, is not experienced by it. It is not enough to just have reason, because this will lead to all things becoming manifest without distinction. Therefore, whatever is not experienced by something as its nature is not its experience. In combination, whatever is not the nature of experience is not what it experiences, for example, not having the nature of yellow, experiencing white is not like experiencing yellow. Experiencing is also not experiencing the nature of happiness, because the universally applicable situation is not found. Although it can be transformed in this way, if it is not its nature, experiencing it residing in wisdom, then it is not experiencing the nature of happiness etc. Then what is it? It is the excellent aspect of wisdom's happiness etc., therefore, the aspect of happiness etc. residing in wisdom is recognized through experience. If you say so, it is only describing the function of dreams, because it is not its nature, so it is experience.
