If someone thinks so, that is not reasonable. Because, this consciousness is considered ignorant, not perceiving the self-nature of happiness, etc. By what means would it become the proximate cause? There is no way. If anything similar to something is its proximate cause, then the ignorant essence of happiness, etc., and knowledge is not something similar to it, therefore it cannot be a proximate cause. Even the master is not okay. If someone says that this is the cause of the cause, that can also be explained, because even if they are not of the same kind, the master can produce opposite results. For example, one light is the cause of walking at night, and there are other senses, night walkers and human eyes, seeing things that are both inconsistent and consistent, these four situations occur simultaneously. Human eyes are consistent with seeing things, and the eyes of night walkers are inconsistent with seeing things, that is what it means. Because of this, whether knowledge arises simultaneously or later, it cannot fully realize happiness, etc., therefore, things like happiness, etc., can be truly experienced. What kind of thing is this? It has the light of transferring to itself, and through its own words it shows the self-nature of happiness, etc. Transfer refers to having the nature of appearing as an image, therefore, anything that has this nature can be called that. Because it becomes a self-nature similar to things, happiness, etc., can be truly experienced. Because it is experienced, things can be truly experienced, which is just a saying in the world, it shows that external things are not really experienced. If so, the inner self-nature is the knower. Things are not real in the way just said. In reality, happiness, etc., are only produced from things, but external things are not truly known by them. Therefore, if it becomes the self-nature of experience, that is the thing, then, because it is produced by its self-nature, it becomes knowledge, but this does not exist in external things. It experiences
