If it is said that there is no contradiction in the arising of consciousnesses that are separately determined on the same object, then that conceptualization is also unreasonable. For example, on some objects, sentient beings universally have attachment, and for things that are close, they also become objects of experience, without grasping, whatever does not transfer to other objects, being the nature of the cause. Because attachment cannot produce other (consciousnesses). Because it is a cause without the ability to generate consciousnesses that grasp other objects. It is not because consciousness is in a state of arising sequentially. In this way, if conceptualization and another consciousness are mutually cause and effect, then when the mind shifts to another object, because there is no ability of attention with the nature of the previous consciousness, it will also grasp some things that become objects of experience. Therefore, it is said, "As the conditions are." Merely the appearance of an object is not a condition, but attention is also a condition, so there is no contradiction. These two are also objects of refutation. Just as we are refuted, for those who say that consciousness enters sequentially, why do they not grasp some objects that become objects of experience, this is how they are refuted. Therefore, one should also rely on this previous answer. If it is not so, then there is also this fault, and if it is so, then it is also useless. Furthermore, if seeing a torch, it appears as if there is no interruption, that is not because of seeing the connection. Then what is it? It is the eye sense that creates the illusion of a wheel. What kind of illusion makes it cling to it as one? What kind of eye? Because of the quick entry. What? Torches and so on. What is following? Following is, projecting to a place suitable as an object. There and there, like that, is the meaning of the so-called seeing illusion. Therefore, for the torch with the nature of arising quickly in other objects, what is following, the harm that exists on which eye, connect the words in this way. Like that eye, in reality it is empty, creating the illusion of a wheel. It is enough to mention it in passing. Like that, then
