Relying on the power of the senses, therefore, the term "perception" indicates the basis of the definition. The term "devoid of conceptualization" is the definition, that is, being free from conceptualization, or for this, the term "devoid of conceptualization" or "devoid of cognition" means to be separated and abandoned, which is how the words are combined. Here, the teacher does not say that any perception that is not mixed with conceptualization is reasonable, just like this: Perception is devoid of conceptualization, perception itself is established, what need is there for other reasoning? If asked how, then it is said "all conceptualizations" and so on, that is: the conceptualizations of all beings, each should be known by oneself, self-cognition or by other knowledge. If asked what it is like, then it is said "having a name as a basis," that is, for having a name as a basis, or as the basis of a name, this is how the words are combined. It means that conceptualization can be mixed with speech. Therefore, it is said that even the existence of the object and subject from seeing is without conceptualization. This will be explained in this way: the seer who is mixed with conceptualization, because that itself is perception, therefore being devoid of conceptualization is established. In this way, it completely cuts off the nature of being separated from conceptualization and arises. In this way, since being devoid of conceptualization is established from non-appearance, is it not established by inference? If asked how can this be established by perception itself? Indeed, non-appearance is merely negation, it is not to establish non-existence, however, because of entering into non-existence, it is another appearance. Even if non-existence is established by the very nature of seeing, it will apply names to the ignorant. Because that has already been studied in detail elsewhere, so it will not be repeated here, so there is no fault. The definition of the object of perception is shown by the words "all" and so on. Analyze and summarize all things, and eliminate conceptualization from all objects. The inner nature is unwavering, because the nature of mind, name, and conceptualization have all disappeared. Even if it exists, it is through the eyes. Because of the sensory consciousness of the eyes, whatever forms etc. are the consciousness seen by people, that is produced by the senses, it is perception, it is devoid of conceptualization.

Although there are conceptual thoughts in my mind, it is not necessarily certain. Like this, from the state of non-conceptualization, later people also have some conceptual thoughts, and my conceptual thoughts will also become like that. If this category is the consciousness of the senses, then it must also become certain before. In the previously mentioned stage, the senses in the stage of the collection of conceptual thoughts have no conceptual thoughts. The sensory discrimination is not certain. Therefore, it will be known that it is not there either. This is also to show that direct perception is only separated from conceptual thoughts. Especially seeing on one, etc., is said like this. For what object is sound established? If that object is held by the consciousness mixed with its name, then sound is not established for its own self-nature. In this way, if this is established in order to understand all meanings from establishing sound on one object at the same time, especially on one difference. Seeing that even in the period of expression, it is also the object, etc., and will not only see others. In this way, the object held by the senses is not closely taken in the period of expression, so sound is not established for it, because this itself is the meaning of expression. Establishment is that for the meaning that is not in a following state in the period of expression, those who establish expression will not establish sound, such as for other meanings that do not exist in the period of expression. One difference of a speckled cow is also not following the expression of a cow in other places and times, which is called pervasive non-establishment. When the difference with the nature of mutual exclusion is not established with sound, how can it be mixed with it through seeing, and hold the meaning of self-nature difference? Establishment is that for what sound is not established, it does not hold that meaning of difference, such as the nature of a cow does not establish the sound of a horse, and does not hold the difference of a horse. Sound is also not established for the difference of a cow, which is called the cause of non-establishment. Even if it is admitted that sound is established for the general, it is not established by what has already been established, like this, the general and that difference are other entities.
