It changes into the sound of the sixth cause. It is not spoken, but spoken for the sake of meaning. This reasoning is related to this. The absence of confusion in the sign is that it shows the Dharma differently. There, the one who is established and possesses it, is the one who makes the subject understood. The investigation of the Dharma, which is to be shown following the sign, also enters. Many meanings of Dharma are not understood in all aspects by reasoning. After completely cutting off the connection with what, one obtains separation from other Dharmas. Qualities such as fragrance and scent, by the order of their distinctions, after distinguishing non-things and so on, one understands each of the lotuses and so on individually. If, like the seen reasoning, one enters through the door of proof, then either not everything will be understood, or everything will be understood. If it is different from the general, then it will be different from that. Because the supports are not seen, one cannot see the different one. From the point of view of such a part, it does not change into the sign-possessor, but even in its many qualities, one obtains the other. The sign-possessor that is related to which, that sign-possessor is to be understood here. The distinction is not to be understood, because one is confused about those very things. The meaning related to the sign, the object to be understood is not the distinction of the sign-possessor, but the understanding of that, because one is very confused about understanding. These are the intermediate verses. Although it abides in two relationships, the sign and the sign-possessor are together, being the support and the supported, but not like a true fit. The sign has the nature of the sign-possessor, and the other sign-possessor itself also has it. The connection between the sign and the sign-possessor, if the determination is reversed, then it abides. It is desired that the sign be pervasive, and from its part it is the sign-possessor. The pervasive part is not its expression, like a horned ox. One is not confused about the individual objects to be negated, because one relies on the relationship. Therefore, although the sign is truly pervasive in the sign-possessor, it is not the agent. By being made, it is pervasive in destruction, but not in what is unmade. It is not pervasive in what is impermanent, it is shown by the meaning of what is unmade. The nature of having horns pervades the cow, and is reversed from what is not horned. Just as the horned pervades the ox, it is the reversal of the meaning of the cow. These are the intermediate verses. Written

Therefore, from the perspective of establishment, the meaning that if it does not exist, it will not arise, the wisdom that arises from seeing things is the subsequent inference. If one merely wants the self-aspect of what is seen that would not arise if it did not exist, then this wisdom cannot be spoken of; if it is said to be something else, then what is it like? If this meaning is to establish what is to be established, then why say that it will not arise if it does not exist? From seeing the relationship between smoke and fire, what is to be inferred other than what is seen? From the existence of many subjects, how can it be called wisdom? Those with reason say that the prior subsequent inference has three aspects: having the prior, having the remainder, and the common seen. Relationship is not the object of the senses; for this so-called having the prior, because everything is possible, it is not like an example. Because it is confused, it is not having. For having the remainder, is it also like an example? It cannot be understood from other relationships either. Because it changes from having the remainder, it cannot be understood from other relationships either. The common seen is also the same. The fruit is not other, and one cannot obtain oneself. If the knowledge of the reason is valid cognition, then the distinction cannot be established either. The Vaisheshika school says: This is the fruit and cause and relationship of this, as well as belonging to the same meaning and having contradiction; these are all produced from the reason. End. There is no obstruction of the fruit on the cause, the realization of having is not established, because having both, it is not other. The having of fire and smoke is not produced from a part, so is all smoke knowable? The brightness of fire becomes knowable. Likewise, smoke and so on are also. Because contradiction also exists, the totality of the reason is not the reason, and the individual parts are not the reason-possessing. According to others, from all aspects, it will become knowable and object of knowledge. This is the concluding verse. One must rely on place and time, the cause cannot be understood, because the relationship has no difference. Also, because there is another possibility, it is not both. Whatever is contradictory is not a reason, because there is no relationship, it is not the wisdom of reason. Because it is shown to be produced from the reason, not everything is said to be a reason. Through memory, having relationship can be established, fruit and so on are not briefly indicated, the last will not become the manifester, it is meaningless, it can also be established from others. The Samkhya school says: Relationship exceeds one manifest
