Mostly, they go and wander for the sake of work. We, who are full of manifest pride, Hold bows for the sake of offering to the Buddha himself. For the sake of pride, taking offerings and arguing, The nurturing of children and the rule of the strong prevailed everywhere. For the sake of abandoning pride, for the sake of offering, we Why wouldn't we give up our lives? For the sake of daughters, the kings who rule the lands, Those cruel and blinding ones went to argue, For the sake of destroying desire, for the sake of offering, we Why wouldn't we give up our lives? For the sake of ending the royal lineage, the ascetic was fiercely angry, The wicked outcast took up weapons on the battlefield, For the sake of pacifying anger, for the sake of offering, we Why wouldn't we give up our lives? The goddess Sita completely grasped the manifest death, The extremely arrogant ruler also declined, For the sake of abandoning complete attachment, for the sake of offering, we Why wouldn't we give up our lives? Edilam is called Paka, enemies are increasing, Thousands of royal lineages have declined in this way, For the sake of destroying the darkness of ignorance, for the sake of offering, we Why wouldn't we give up our lives? Thus and so forth, all the battles in the world, Are born from faults, and many have occurred. Acting with reverence for the supreme teacher, Even if precepts are established, why wouldn't there be battles? Even so, we must be firm in this resolve, Please go quickly as a messenger, How can things be accomplished without fighting? Therefore, please everyone, do your best. You, with words that accord with the Dharma, Want to fight with us, possessing sharp arrow-teeth, For those who have drunk poison that is greatly increasing within, It is like stopping snakes with mantras. The kings accepted these words, That Brahmin entered that city, How he gradually saw those giants, Having seen them, at the appropriate time, he spoke these words. These lords of men holding bows in their hands, Shine like the sun, armor blazing.

You, you must taste the flavors in this city, Reside majestically like lions. Know that those swords sheathed by them, And the bows with golden backs. Remembering the accomplished Dharma, fearing the non-Dharma, Praying for forgiveness, they are not those who fear war. Those who have come forth are not for the sake of land, Not for wealth, not for satiety, not for enemies. With reverence for the Able One, this is our respect for you, Therefore, you should show respect through actions. For the Able One, both you and we, Equally regard as the Guru, hence this labor. Therefore, the gathering of brothers has come together, Offering to the relics of the Guru is the sole purpose. Towards the rituals of Dharma, be miserly, Being miserly towards wealth, that is not a fault. Speaking of miserliness, that is indeed a fault, A fault is indeed becoming an enemy of the Dharma. If you do not give alms, I think, Then come out from the fortress and treat the guests well. Those who possess strength are not the door bolts, They are not royalty born into noble lineage. The lords of men, while showing love and majesty, Said these words to you. Whatever I want to say, after you understand it yourselves, Please listen to me with joy. Some disputes are not virtuous, nor are they Dharma, Do not quarrel, draw near to peace. The Able One praised patience, With reverence, it can cause fire to increase completely. For the sake of one of wealth and desires, The manner of dispute will become intimate. Having become superior again for the sake of Dharma, Speak of peace and enemies arguing. Whoever, with a heart of closeness, peace, and love, Spoke of love for all sentient beings, Offering to the one who possesses great compassion, Having done harm, is not in accordance with my way. Therefore, for these offerings of relics, Correctly distribute with fame and Dharma. If that is so, you will not dispute those, That
