Among all of you, the most distinguished one, the root of good speech lies in questioning. The Lama was filled with wonder. He dispels the masses of darkness, clarifies the right path and the wrong path. There, wisdom is particularly beautiful, like a lotus blooming in the moonlight. Having seen with divine eyes, whatever treasures are obtained, are sought by all who seek the Dharma. Through obtaining virtue, he practices generosity. With steadfastness like his own, he practices generosity in this way. Like the words of those who seek the Dharma, "Give," is no longer heard. Thereafter, the Lama's five hundred disciples said to Moonlight Bodhisattva, "Alas, we should contemplate your great love for those who seek the Dharma. If there is a seeker, even if they give up their lives, you will surely give to them." The Bodhisattva said, "It is not so. The beggar is indeed superior to the compassionate giver. Why? If one harms oneself, desiring to perform the virtuous act of giving, and can endure the suffering of begging, such compassionate ones are truly rare to find. In this life and the next, giving is for those who seek results. The giver who only gives wealth is not as superior as that one. The seeker says, 'Please give,' appearing humble. Saying, 'There is no patron,' is even more humble. One who goes to the end for the sake of benefit, the patron is like a wish-fulfilling tree. One who praises with bright fruits, how can the seeker be humble? If it exists for the benefit of beings, it will never diminish. All merit is given by the small clouds of begging. Patrons are like the ocean, not born from this, relying on the belly of the virtuous and famous pearl." Thereafter, the disciples again asked the Bodhisattva, "With the result of a great patron, do you desire the glory of a hundred sacrifices, or do you desire a transformed body? Please speak briefly." The Bodhisattva said, "My intention is not to manifest a state of natural decay. Listen, all of you."

Look! In the center of the wheel of existence, whose form is it? It is made by the artisans of actions. It and it are both impermanent, this impermanence is like an angry shaking, causing fear. Turning away from attachment and hatred, the cruel lord of death, even at the peak of existence, cannot be escaped. The lifespan of beings, even in motion, will be exhausted. In the work of drawing, each composition is like a sketch. Having obtained powerful impermanence, glory does not burn for long. Like an oil lamp at a crossroads, the flame is moved by the wind. Some who are foolish in mind see impermanence as a lioness. Others are self-righteous, without fear, like a domestic cow. The mind of the wise who have done good deeds will not be harmed by the lord of death. Like being shaded by the shadow of an umbrella, walking on the road will not be scorched by the sun. Because of the darkness of arrogance and pride, these, like hearing a snake, are always difficult to obtain. The enjoyment of beings is fleeting, like relying on treatises of sound that follow. Therefore, understanding beings with and without cause, like a heap of bubbles destroyed by the force of water, is meaningless. To dispel arrogance, pride, and ignorance, for the sake of the unborn meaning, those who are born should strive for a while! Therefore, I desire to attain the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment that pervades everything, in order to eliminate the suffering of the world. Then, those disciples, with minds full of great joy, spoke again: What is the use of saying more? Please emit light from the center of your eyebrows, holding the rabbit-shaped mark of the hair between the eyebrows. With the rays of light that conquer darkness, illuminate the mandala from all directions. We see the great qualities of the future Sugata with form. Like cut gold, the radiant body clarifies the path of liberation for those who hold it. We also hope to attain perfect and complete enlightenment in all aspects and become your disciples. The Bodhisattva said: In the great monastery, there are many snakes, and diligent people want to surpass it and reach the place of peace.

Desiring benefit. Who does not desire a method? Thinking that this great being has promised to share the nectar with us, those disciples who left with joy returned to their own places. At the same time, a Bodhisattva who was close to perfection was thinking like this: I have done my best for the people I seek, and now I will satisfy the animals with my own flesh and blood. Thinking this, he took up weapons, honey, and butter, without telling his relatives, at dusk, which was in accordance with the attire of the great night, on the road that was obscured by curtains, thickened in other directions, and obscured by darkness, under the light of lamps burning in other houses, those young women whose faces were doubled in beauty, and those who especially wore ornaments, were elegant, and had eyebrows as upright as trees. He saw the prostitutes who were possessed by those who were attracted by the frivolous and coquettish saliva, and whose hearts were filled with desire, and the middle women who heard the voices of their friends making appointments, and whose eyes were neither distracted nor wavering, and those who were happy with the time agreed upon by the joyful people, and those love-desiring women who saw the drops of perfume falling and looked in the mirror with coquettish gestures, and the cowherd girls who heard the sound of milk flowing, and the cows with small bells that were shaken by the calves licking them, and the caravan leaders who poured vomit at the crossroads of the road, and comfortably closed their eyes, they made the city roads congested. When the plowshare, with plumpness, and cheeks as red as red copper, and the mark of the rabbit, especially located on the top of the eastern mountain, appeared, the water lilies bloomed, the garden was filled with fragrance, and the night arrived. Others had hair as disheveled as the hair of the dead, smoke obscured the light, and there were various kinds of trees and
