Regarding the precepts to be abandoned, these are the four defeats. The transgressions that are prescribed are six types, such as not drinking alcohol. "Steadfastly guarding with diligence" explains that one should diligently guard with body, speech, and mind, teaching for the sake of not committing the defeats, that is, guarding against even the slightest faults from occurring. For example, if one protects a large tree, the surrounding fence and wooden barriers should not be destroyed in any way. Similarly, to avoid committing defeats, if one protects the minor precepts like fences and wooden barriers without destroying them, it is to steadfastly protect the discipline. "Protect the precepts as you would your own body" explains how to practice. For example, just as one protects one's own body from being killed by poison, thorns, and cliffs, and does not despise food, clothing, and medicine in any way, similarly, one should protect the precepts without destroying them in any way, and protect them in a pure manner. The explanation of practicing the precepts is complete. Regarding the explanation of what to do in the morning, it is explained that there are eight things to do: recitation, prostration to the Tathagata, inquiring about the health of the Khenpo and Acharya and requesting work, checking the water, accomplishing the tasks of the Khenpo and Acharya, requesting, eating food, and dedicating merit. "Get up from bed in the early morning, recite until dawn" explains the act of recitation. The early morning is the time of dawn when one night is divided into five parts. That is, one should get up from bed at dawn, then sit cross-legged, thinking that one should give the Dharma to the demons and heretics, then call out to the demons and heretics, giving them verses, and recite as much as possible until dawn. Dedicate the merit of recitation for the benefit of all sentient beings. "After washing the dirt from the face and teeth, respectfully prostrate to the perfect Buddha" explains the act of prostration to the Tathagata. That is, after getting up and washing the dirt from the teeth and face with water and toothpicks, one should respectfully prostrate to the perfect Buddha, the Buddha Bhagavan, etc. Because he has comprehended all the Dharmas and is perfect in qualities.

Because all qualities have been attained, it is called "complete." Just as a person awakens from sleep, having abandoned ignorance. Because one awakens from the sleep of ignorance, it is called "Buddha." Reverent prostration, so-called reverent prostration also has three aspects: reverent prostration with the body, reverent prostration with speech, and reverent prostration with the mind. Among these, touching the ground with the five lower parts of the body and prostrating in a peaceful manner is reverent prostration with the body. Praising the Tathagata with a voice that is neither too loud nor too soft is reverent prostration with speech. Before reverent prostration with the body, thinking that the Buddha Bhagavan has abandoned all faults, possesses perfect qualities, has great compassion, is the protector and refuge of all sentient beings, and is the basis for all sentient beings to accumulate merit, therefore is a place of prostration, this is reverent prostration with the mind. First, generate such a thought, and then prostrate with body and speech. To the door of the lama's residence, gently knock with your hand. After entering, respectfully ask the lama, whether the body is well, etc. Ask "May I enter?" for the sake of (receiving) instructions on the mandala, etc. This means that one should greet the Khenpo and Acharya, and then request permission to carry out (the task to be done). To the door of the lama's residence, gently knock with your hand. That is, after prostrating to the Buddha, go to the residence of the lama, that is, the Khenpo and Acharya, and gently knock on the door with your hand, or ring the bell and say, "Please come in," and if they say so, then enter. If there is no sound, repeat it twice. Even if there is no sound, repeat it two or three times. Then, if they say "Please come in," then you may enter. Do not barge in, but act according to these rules, this is to show that the behavior of the practitioner is of a peaceful and gentle nature. If you barge in, the lamas will feel that this is an obstacle to virtue, and they will be disturbed, so in order not to disturb the lama's mind, act according to these rules. Then, if the lama says "Please come in," what should one do after entering?
