If one relies on and dwells in things like arrogance, pride and arrogance will arise. These elements or things of arrogance should also be abandoned like living in a thatched hut. To abide in discipline is to have morality. The three verses from "After midday" and so on, show the faults of eating at the wrong time. Among them, a bhikkhu's eating at the wrong time means that in his own abode, Jambudvipa, from after midday until dawn, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, taught that this is not the time to eat. A bhikkhu who abides in discipline should not eat at that time. Therefore, it is said in the sutra: "After midday, before dawn is not the time to eat, this is what the Victorious One said is not the time to eat, those who hold the precepts should not eat there." So, what is the time for a bhikkhu to eat? It is said in the sutra: "From dawn to midday, if one eats at that time, one is a mindful and disciplined person, it is the time to eat." It means that in one's own abode, Jambudvipa, from dawn to before midday, eating at that time is having mindfulness, abiding in discipline, it is the time for a bhikkhu to eat, that is the time. If one thinks that what is not the time is the time, then one should never eat. It means that after midday, thinking that it is not the time, but thinking that it is the time, and eating, that should never be done. The situations where eating at the wrong time is allowed are: "If the doctor advises, the patient will not have faults." It means that if eating in the morning cannot sustain life, and the doctor advises to eat in the afternoon as well, there will be no faults. Or when walking on the road, walking about one yojana, or when there is a great famine, and one is very distressed, due to the sudden circumstances related to time, whenever one gets food, it is allowed to eat at the wrong time. If a bhikkhu is like a cow, having two throats due to the ripening of karma, in the morning it goes in from one throat, and in the afternoon it comes out from the other, and it is the time to eat, then in such a case, one should first eat one or two mouthfuls.

It should be poured out and rinsed again. Only after that should it be eaten. If it is not like that, if food residue appears while hiccuping, it should be thoroughly rinsed with water that should not be eaten. "Saleybram is gold," etc., three verses explain abandoning the fault of holding wealth. If donors give gold Saleybram and property, etc., and silver, etc., precious jewels, the monk should not accept them himself, nor should he let others accept them. If he does not do so and accepts them, he commits a serious offense. The monk should not wear or hold needles, scabbards, etc., made of horn, teeth, and bones, or made of gold and silver, etc., or decorated with gold, silver, and jewels, etc. If he does, he commits an offense. Touching orpiment, lead, and tin, etc., is an offense. So, is it that a monk cannot touch gold and silver, etc., in any way? "I, with impure things, desire to seek pure things, having thus intended, then let others take." It is said that the monk's thought is like this: I, with impure things like gold and silver, in order to seek pure things, that is, to seek the resources for the three Dharma robes, and if I do not hold a little gold and silver, my life will be interrupted, for the sake of life, and without medicine I will be tormented by disease, thinking of holding and accepting for the sake of seeking the resources for medicine, I will let a layman or other donor accept it. Also, there is no fault in the following situation: "For the sake of the Three Jewels, those who live together in Brahmacharya, if they touch gold and silver, there is no fault." That is to say, for the sake of the Three Jewels, that is, the property belonging to the Three Jewels, and those who live together in Brahmacharya, like the utensils of monks who have the same teacher and Acharya, and the gold and silver belonging to the utensils of the teacher and Acharya, even if the monk himself touches them, there is no fault. Also, "I, with impure things, desire to seek pure things," refers to using gold and silver, etc.
