It is said that one should not accept if it is done for the sake of understanding. Who has the right to the gains acquired from the reason for staying in retreat? It is mentioned as staying in retreat, etc. One who has become a summer retreatant is a summer retreatant, and he has the right and becomes the owner. What is the difference? "For a long time also" is what makes the action special, meaning "much." The meaning of the word "also" is like this: it is not just staying completely, but also staying in retreat for a long time, which is what it shows. Here, if one stays for more than two and a half months, that is called staying in retreat for a long time. Even if that ordained person dies, he has the right to it, but not just if he has gone to another place, that is the concluding statement. What is the gain that he has the right to? It is mentioned as staying in retreat. A summer retreatant is one who stays. Because of staying in retreat, the form of gain that arises from the cause and reason of staying in retreat is gain, only the form of gain itself is called that. For such a person who becomes the owner of the gain, this is the concluding statement. To whom should the gains offered to the Three Jewels and the nature of Dharma belong? It is said that what is offered to the Buddha should be used for the Blessed One's private chamber and stupas, etc. What is offered to the Sangha should be distributed. What should be done with what is offered to the Dharma because one does not understand? It is mentioned as the gain of Dharma, etc. Which gains of Dharma have the right to be controlled? It is mentioned as the true Dharma, etc. The verses of the true Dharma are the explanation of the true Dharma verses. The explanation of the verses refers to the Buddha's words. It is to show the doctor slightly, but not specially, therefore, only those who have been read by those ordained ones have the right to control them, and they become the owners, this is the concluding statement. The meaning of the word "also" is that it is not only those who read the Sutras, etc., who have the right to control them. The meaning of the word "ni" is to definitely understand it as "only that."

Here, if we are to examine in detail what this "Dharma" is, then, it is said here that there are two kinds of Dharma: the Dharma of teaching and the Dharma of ultimate truth. Among them, the Dharma of teaching refers to the twelve categories of scriptures, such as the Sutra section, the chanted verses, and the prophecies. The Dharma of ultimate truth refers to Nirvana. The gains offered for the sake of the Dharma of teaching should be distributed here, but the gains offered for the sake of the Dharma of Nirvana should not be distributed as if offered to the Buddha, because Nirvana is its very nature. How, then, can one know how these should be distributed? Answer: When the donor personally distinguishes and offers, one should give generously. If it is not distinguished, then one should ask the donor for which Dharma they are offering. If they say, "For the sake of writing the Dharma of teaching," then it should be done accordingly, and not distributed. For it is said that the patron must definitely arrange the gains. If one is to observe the summer retreat in many monasteries, is it permissible for all monasteries? It is mentioned "in many monasteries," etc., meaning many monasteries. This is after they have promised and vowed. The so-called "gains obtained only from one monastery" refers to the gains of the summer retreat, and one has no right to take them. "And" means it must be accepted. The word "also" indicates that not only can one obtain gains from one who has promised to stay in one place, but it can also include some monasteries. However, when they want to take from all places, "all" etc. is also mentioned. If they intend to take gains from all monasteries, how should they promise? It is mentioned "gains of all monasteries," meaning the gains of all monasteries are the gains of all monasteries, that is, the gains of all monasteries are gathered together. It is both one and a share, so it is one share. Just one share, that is, the monk should take only that much.

Therefore, the so-called "just one share" refers to the share of a Śrāmaṇera as spoken of in those monasteries where it is promised. That single gain, the portion that the monasteries have divided from the number, here is one share, meaning that he should take just that much. Ācārya Yönten Öd said, "Here in the place of promise, for the master, I am merely a share of my own number." The meaning here is also like this: the one who has promised, with mantras, in the monasteries, from the number of the monastery itself, the share that should be given, that is a share of one's own number. Its essence is just a share of one's own number. From the number of the monastery, having gained income, after making it a share, it is not the remainder to be given by the monks of different monasteries. This is the conclusion. The worldly custom is also like this. Just as a monk obtains income during the summer retreat and so on, is it the same for Śrāmaṇeras? Or is it otherwise? The answer is: From the same as the certainty of one monk. And so on, it is said. The certainty of one monk, that is, taking two shares from the income, this comes from the extensive explanation. Because of the reason of the summer retreat or other reasons, whatever the certainty of the income of one monk is, the Śrāmaṇera should take two shares from that. The word "is" means "because," and "that" means "thus," so because it is said thus from the extensive explanation, and also one should refer to the examination of the manner of receiving income. That is, from the income of the amount of one monk's share, whichever of the three parts it is divided into, the Śrāmaṇera should take two shares, this is what is said in the Vinaya, Examination of Income. For one who wishes to take full ordination, is it the same or not? The answer is: For one who wishes to take full ordination, the income is equal, food and so on are the same, and the clothes of the dead are also the same. Whichever one is the one who wishes to take full ordination, he is the one who wishes to take full ordination, and only equal income can be controlled. The word "is" is for the meaning of "because," because
