It is not a fault if the new and old people give instructions immediately without asking the Khenpo. It is not something that can be done casually. It must be sought as an abbot, and even if it is an elderly abbot, it cannot be appointed casually. From where to start accepting will be explained below. Examine the discipline and the abbot, that is, whether he has discipline, whether he has wisdom and the five dharmas, retinue, and whether the abbot's original retinue is tamed, whether there are faults, and whether he subdues. Whether the abbot personally shows and subdues the disciples, whether he gives resources, whether he helps or harms others, should be understood through questioning and so on. Like these, whether they are qualified, ask and examine others, and after understanding and knowing, if it is considered possible, accept it as in the ritual. To abide, that is, to abide as in the ritual, and accept it after reciting the mantra three times. Press down with both feet on both hands. When reciting the mantra at the time of abiding, hold with both hands from under the abbot's feet and recite the mantra. Give after examination. The abbot should also let the disciple enter the abiding, that is, examine whether he has cunning, faults, and rules, etc., as in the previous examination of the abbot, and then let him enter the abiding. Regard them as father and son. After abiding, the abbot is regarded as the image of the father, and the disciple is regarded as the image of the son. Therefore, it is more important than the Khenpo, so it cannot be accepted casually. For my Khenpo, first ask to be the Khenpo, and when he becomes the Khenpo, he has already abided, so there is no need to abide again later. In order to destroy the accepted abode, if both sides turn their backs. The state of having abided transforms into the destruction of the abode, that is, the abbot thinks that his disciple does not enter the abiding, and thinks that he has abandoned it, and the disciple also thinks that he has abandoned it, then the abode is destroyed and no longer exists. If one abandons and the other does not abandon, it will not be destroyed. If they gather without a Khenpo, feel where you are happy. If I do not have a Khenpo, and many abiding teachers gather together, then rely on the person who is happy, and it is not a fault to ask each morning and evening. That's it.

It is so. If the Khenpo and the Acharya who is relied upon are both present, ask the Khenpo. If a novice monk and a fully ordained Khenpo are together, ask the fully ordained Khenpo. As soon as you see the Khenpo, stand up from your seat. No matter where the Khenpo comes from, near or far, it is okay to walk or sit many times, and it is okay to do good deeds yourself. Stand up from your seat to do good deeds, and the Khenpo will say "Sit down" and so on. If he says so, it is not a sin to sit down. Like the Khenpo, the five Acharyas should also be treated in the same way. If you stay in a place three times a day, go there if you stay in that temple. If the temple is within a single boundary and you stay with the Khenpo, ask three times a day. If the road is long or the boundaries are different, how to ask will be explained below. If you stay in a monastery, about one yojana away, go every day. If both the Khenpo and the disciple stay in the monastery and are separated by about one yojana, if it is within the boundary defined by the monastery itself, it is not a sin to ask once a day. Similarly, within the boundary of the temple, about one yojana away, ask every day. The boundary between the monastery and the temple is defined by the temple's own boundary. It is not allowed to be one yojana away. If one stays in the monastery and the other stays within the boundary, it is not allowed to be separated by the boundary. If it is about five yojanas away, go once every five or six days. If the temple or monastery is within a single boundary, even if the Khenpo and the disciple are separated by about five yojanas, it is not a sin to ask once every five or six days. The boundaries of the monastery and the temple are different, or It is not allowed to have no boundaries. When it is three and a half yojanas away, it is the time for Uposatha. Whether it is the boundary of a monastery or a temple, as long as it is within a single boundary, even if the Khenpo and the disciple are separated by about three and a half yojanas, it is not a sin to ask once every half month. If the one who is relied upon should be stopped by punishment, do not stop without punishment. If the elder sees that the disciples who rely on him have done something wrong and should be stopped by punishment, they should be stopped by punishment. How to stop those who do wrong things with punishment will be explained below. There are five kinds of punishment, and there are five ways to stop with punishment. These five will be explained in detail below. Do not speak, do not instruct, do not employ, do not give Dharma, and do not share food. From "Do not speak" to "Do not employ".
