The capacity to hold both the previous and the pigments is a small amount. A medium-sized bowl can hold anything from two "tra-tas" (པྲ་ཏ་) down to one "tra-ta" (པྲ་ཏ་) or more. The so-called "exchange" refers to measuring tools used for exchanging and using in the local area, such as pecks and bushels, which are called "tra-ta" (པྲ་ཏ་). A "tra-ta" (པྲ་ཏ་) is the amount that can hold sixteen Indian ounces of dried rice, the measure of one "tra-ta" (པྲ་ཏ་). One ounce in India is equal to one ounce and six sho in Tibet. Sixteen ounces in India is one "tra-ta" (པྲ་ཏ་), and thirty-two ounces is two "tra-tas" (པྲ་ཏ་). The measure of a large bowl is twenty-eight Tibetan ounces, and the measure of one "tra-ta" (པྲ་ཏ་) is seven bushels. The amount that can hold one ounce and six sho is the measure of a small "tra-ta" (པྲ་ཏ་), and the large one is the measure of a small "tra-ta" (པྲ་ཏ་). A Bhikshuni should not carry a bowl smaller than a Bhikshu's small bowl. A Bhikshuni should not use a bowl larger than the measure of a Bhikshu's smallest bowl. Use a mandala of rotten grass to cushion it. The base of a Bhikshuni's bowl is made by weaving rotten grass into a circle to cushion the bottom of the bowl. It should be like a Bodhi tree leaf or a palm. The shape of the woven rotten grass should be made like a tree leaf or a palm. This should be asked: Which Bhikshuni Nanda circled her son with the base of her bowl? The size established since then is also like that. The size should also be like a palm or a tree leaf. If it is despised because of this, it will also become like that. At the time of ordination and full ordination, if there is no bowl, it is okay to be despised by others. Like those five things. Like the three Dharma robes, water strainer, and cushion, it is not a sin to be despised like exchanging them. One should not be without a bowl in summer. When entering the summer retreat, it is said that one should not practice wandering. It is not okay to be without a bowl, and one should not be separated from the bowl. One should also not practice wandering. One cannot wander without a bowl. If there is danger, use a small bowl. If a dangerous situation occurs or exists, hide the large bowl and it is not a sin to use a small one. One can also ordain without it. At the time of ordination, if there is no bowl or it is not found, it is okay to ordain without it. Stand up, the bowl appears, or is put in, or is dried.
